Hi everyone. Many of you know who CrackerJackPat is from the blogs.
She has touched my life with her strength, her courage, her attitude, and her faith. Pat is undergoing treatment for cancer, and through it has managed to be there for her friends, always has encouraging words and a smile, even when her days aren't the best.
I know she won't mind me posting this, but I wanted all of you to join me in letting Pat know how much she means to us.
Please, let others who may not be on my friends list know of this post so they too can leave a message for Pat.

Hey - Pat is cheerful through it all, proving that happiness
is a CHOICE we can make in spite of the stuff that happens
to all of us humans.
She is on my list of the people I send positive brainwaves to
on a regular basis.

Awww - Teddy....
now you've gone & embarrassed me! You are all just too kind and sweet.
I must say here that yes, positive thinking is a "key," but for me my friends, it is not the "answer." The "answer" is... "I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me!"
I was raised a Christian and know the really tough times I came through by nothing short of the hand of the Holy Spirit without my thinking much about it except, "How will I ever live through this?" I became a positive thinker as a young adult, raised my family that way, and, as a matter of fact, taught it to others. I know the impact of both positive and negative thinking. I also know the limitations of mere positive thinking.
Christ is "The Great Physician" and it is but by the Grace of God that we are saved. It is so very important that we remember, "It is not I who doeth the works, but the Father within."

PAT shows strength that is lacking in a lot of "big ole boys." her ability to appreciate the little things in life-- eyebrows, belly buttons, hats that cover a hairless head--- and her ability to joke about the situation, says tons about her. she is a very good reason to log into MD, and see what she's been up to. and the comment does NOT end, in--- or not... it is...

I love our Pat, for she really is a CrackerJack and the most inspiring woman I know. She shares her love, strength, humor, faith and even her trying times with us all in an uplifting and positive manner. My prayers always go out to you, Ms Pat, and I am blessed to know you.

Pali.. you are so right.. she is OUR Pat..and I have never heard anyone say an unkind thing to or about her..that speaks volumes all by itself.

You guys are simply much too kind.
How wonderful it was of Max (as in Callmemax) to request prayers for me in here nearly a year ago.
All I have done is to share my experience as a way of saying "thank you" for those prayers and share what a difference YOUR prayers have made in my healing and this experience.
By the way... I completed the chemo treatments a couple of months ago with a cancer count BELOW average. I go in for a check up I believe it's August 15th (maybe July 15). I expect only the best from those tests!
