I’ve joined a group lately of like-minded people like myself, but our title may not be that politically correct.

I agree with Gallows-time and place. You wouldn't use potty mouth in church, or at a wedding, child's birthday party, funeral. Decent adults shouldn't keep on a person that has nicely said a word offends them. (For instance my Mom doesn't like the F word....so it is RARELY said in her presence.) And yes, I am one that has asked someone not to use a certain word-out of respect, not trying to boss.. SOME political correctness can just be a matter of respect. How many here throw around the derrogatory "C**T" word in front of their mothers, grandmothers, children?
But what's more of a concern to me is people that think THEY have freedom of speech, but some others don't.

I love politically incorrect humour.
Lisa Lampanelli is one of my favourite comedians. In fact, I just finished watching one of her specials on YouTube, and it was glorious. She's not for everyone, though.

But what's more of a concern to me is people that think THEY have freedom of speech, but some others don't. On a serious note, that is one of my biggest pet peeves. That, and people who think they have the right to exercise their free speech - without any consequences!
There's a fine line at times between being polite and being "politically correct." And I think it is VERY possible to be exceedingly polite, and yet at the same time to NOT be politically correct. Not only possible...but I think we need MORE of this sort of thing. I really do think that this oversensitivity to political correctness will be our downfall.
