I tried to post this on my friends bulletinn. Seemed to not work. WTH. Posting here.
Hello. Good morning.
After having a severe headache that would not go away, my fiance finally made a doc app't. His sister took him on Monday morning. He couldn't drive. I was at work. He was planning on blood work & something to ease the pain. Doc got a CT scan & IMMEDIATELY got him in an ambulance to hospital. His sis called me at work to tell me there was a tumor in his head. I left work & drove like a maniac to the hosp. MRI showed a large tumor on the right side of brain. National specialist for Glioma tumor was there & wanted surgery. STAT.
Not sure of timeline & actual events.
Surgery to open back of skull & remove 5x8 cm tumor.
Thank God, NOT glioma ... But yes, brain cancer. Mets from somewhere. Awaiting pathology reports.
ICU right now.
Seems OK at the moment. High pain.
Prognosis not good. Brain cancer.. Mets from unknown primary.
Quick bulletin to report & request prayers, positive energy, & whatever else may assist us to get through this.
Entire family is wreck.
Doc, nurses, hospital excellent.
My friend list is not huge. Please some of you post this info where members may see it to report & request my prayer & positive energy request.
Many have my private email address.
I am quite lost & helpless.
Work is no problem. They have given me whatever time I need/want.
I don't knoew what else to say.
Please keep me & Steve & our family & friends in your thouhts & prayers.
We plan to marry in 3 years when all our kids are grown. Plans may change. Every minute changes everything.
Please hold your loved ones close & don't sweat the small stuff ... And it's all small stuff.

Jen, prayers and positive thoughts on the way. Mrs. Bacon has gotten a lot of help from counseling groups. Also, she has now been called on by the local hospital staff to counsel others who have been diagnosed with cancer...and their families. If she can be of any help to you, please e-mail me and I'll hook you up with her. This is a very stressful and mentally exhausting time, don't be shy about asking for help.
