They say that honesty is always the best policy!
Well I’m sorry but I disagree!
I told an eighteen stone Hells Angel who was in the pub the other night, that his girlfriend was a ‘right minger’ (witch she was by the way) and he broke both my legs, and fractured six of my ribs.!!
Has anyone else an amusing tale/story to tell about how being completely honest has had a detrimental affect on him or her?

I once had a drunken friend come staggering out of his house and inform me that my girlfriend had a nice butt. I couldn't help but laugh at him because he was hammered and he happened to be right.

Now Dev,
Are you really being honest about the broken legs and rib? Something tells me you are pulling 'my' leg.
If there is such a thing, and I wonder, I am honest to a fault. Rather than say what is on my mind, it is probably best not to say a word, depending on what it is in regards to.

ok...I`ll be Honest...I was honest about my daughter being raped at the age of 13 and having a baby as the result of that rape...I don`t know what the law is in other states..but if a girl that young has a baby the Child Protective Services steps in and takes over...well my daughter had a lot of problems after that...to make a long story short the guy said he didnt want to deal with that..so it was bye bye me...My *Honesty* didnt pay off....but I don`t believe in hiding the truth especially when its nothing that I`m ashamed of ....My life is an open book and I have nothing to hide...

Its ok....we`ve dealt with that part of our lives and moved on... ..
But...in the long-run..I think there are times when a little white lie isn`t called for..hmmmmm...like when a woman asks...Is my Butt too big?...You lie...don`t be honest you`ll get slapped

devon, u mentioned honesty, not smarts. looks like u can't help winning for losing. did they guy at least pitch n to get u a scooter? 
actually, honesty isn't always the best policy; it depends on the scenario. a lot of embittered ppl will hide behind "honesty" to b hateful because they feel it gives them some control in their pitiful lives. then they're sitting n said ER with devon; if they're lucky, they can share rooms with one another on the orthopaedic wing.
