Aug 20 @ 10:49 PM Chelsea's List....     1stsignofspring Posts: 16,194 "I Want Her to Know "was a blog about my daughter graduating next year and the list of things I wanted her to know when she left home. All of my MD friends were kind enough to add more things as well. I just found out today that she is graduating early...in 4 MONTHS!! OMG....and I am freaking out.... She worked so hard and had such a heavy academic load the first 3 yrs that all she needs to graduate is 2 more credits. She promised me she would "walk" in May though to make her mother happy... She is leaving for college after winter break...much sooner than I thought, and I will miss her so much. She has been my sensible one......the rock.....the one who knew how to pick good friends, and counsel the girl whose father sexually abused her, helped to console the friend whose mother died in middle school, go to 2 of her classmates funerals in 3 yrs, endure her father ending his relationship with her at 13, the one who can make me laugh till I cry, and told all her classmates every silly thing I ever did. She kept them entertained and they anxiously awaited to hear about my antics... She was the kid who decided to go into track in ninth grade and cried because she was no good....but perservered and would not quit even though she came in last place every time....she wouldn't give it up! She is the child that cry's everytime she sees a disabled child...even still. Is she perfect? nawwww....but who cares! I have learned so much from her and she has been my friend and the best child a mom could have. So MD..... I'd like to hear from a fathers prospective and a mothers. Let's add to the first list....What should she know before leaving to go to college?....Serious and fun stuff....(you know me )....I don't know it all, but one thing is for sure....... I know how to love her better than anyone else.... Thank you all....
