Just closed on my very first place today. I actually now have my very own door bell and a washer and dryer 
The only thing I ever owned before was my car and bills
Guess I'm all grown up now.

 I was hoping you had a new forum site. I am no longer posting here except to congratulate you!  I did the same thing a year ago and felt a big accomplishment as a single mother of two!  I wish you peace and happiness in your new home Angel!

This place is soooo kool.
12 ft high ceilings, maple floors......it is a converted factory turned condos. They gutted the entire building only leaving the original flooring and exposed brick. The building is more than a 100 years old.
It's so New York I can't stand it!! I got the keys right in my hand. Can ya hear them jingling? Jingle Jingle

Ok Waiting, thanks for the warning. Guess I need to read the new rules. Not trying to draw attention to myself per se. Just wanted to share my happiness with others.
It is such a wonderful feeling. Now all I have to do is buy furniture.....like a kitchen table and chairs would help and maybe a sofa for the living room
I guess I can just sit on the floor in the mean time

Sounds like a wonderful place. I've noticed a lot of lofts, here and there, during my online real estate searches. Is it kind of along those lines?

Angel! Congratulations! What a great investment you now have. I love Maple anything...when I had my New England colonial house, I had maple wood floors. When I first bought it, had ugly carpet all down stairs, I decided to pull up a corner and see just what was underneath. Maple hard wood floor! I began to tear it all up and then rented the buffer. When that big job was done, then came the sealant. I took me about one whole week to complete the living room, hall, den and dining room. I had already ordered new living room furniture, and a beautiful center wool rug for the livingroom. I was really proud of myself.
How you can be DIY..Do It Yourselfer...go girl! It will all come together in time. Congrats...
