I think I have to break down and get glasses. Suddenly small print has to be held away from me to read.
So...what kind of frames do you think I should get? (Gold members-knock yourselves out with funny ones if you want.)
Put em on someone else, too!

Clear frames. I think your light hair makes it easier for you to pull those off. Maybe oval lenses.

Go to the Dollar Store and try them ALL on. Don't worry, there's always someone there to give you an honest opinion. (Then buy 7 pair and scatter them around your house -- everywhere )
People who just need reading glasses are so lucky. They can look in the mirror and see themselves in 'em. When you're as nearsighted as me, you've got to put your nose right up on the mirror to be able to see, which makes it impossible to see your whole face.
Get this kind, Lor~ They come with a cup of coffee.

Loreli - Sun is right - Target has the coolest reading glasses in their $1 bins! I bet I have 20 different pairs - I keep them all over the house as well as at work - I change them as my mood changes or my outfits! Of course I save the really crazy ones to wear when I meet my daughter - she just shakes her head, rolls those eyes and walks behind me!

For years, I wore bi-focal contacts....still had to use readers over them for certain stuff. Last year, I spent a small fortune on a pair of prescription glasses with progressive lenses. I think the lady sold me the frames I wanted despite the fact that the lens size is not really big enough for the progressive feature. I have not been able to adjust to the glasses & plan to get them replaced with lenses for only distance viewing next month when I go for my check up.
I'm with Sunny, though, as far as needing readers....I've got cheap ones scattered all over too...and they do just fine..one pair by the computer, another pair at my chair in the den, another pair in my pocket book, etc. I think the most I've ever paid for any of them was maybe 5 bucks. There are lots of fun style frames to choose from...knock yourself out!

And don't forget to get a pair of folding ones! They fit in your pocket, safe and sound in a hard case...no purse required.

BTW, it was my optician who told me to go to the Dollar or drugstore for reading glasses (when I needed them when I was wearing my contacts fulltime). That's where he always got his and he could have had fancy prescription ones practically free.
Oh COOL!
Guys can swap their "emergency condom" for READING GLASSES when they reach "that age"!

Depends on what you want to look like Loreli. Last Saturday was my 35th class reunion and Brenda was going through all the picture albums of our class members from the past. She was looking at the wrestling team picture and had to ask me which one I was. So I showed her. Her first response?
You look like a geek! The picture was in b&w so my hair was black and i was wearing those black glasses that were popular before wire rimmed.
