Well... I took the Buick back to my REGULAR mechanic this morning, and HE found the problem! It turned out to be one of the coils, which my friend and I suspected yesterday. He happened to have a coil in his garage, put it on, and it cleared up the problem!!! Total cost: 35 bucks!! Thas to all of you who offered some great suggestions!!!

glad to hear it Stormy, diagnosis of anything without being there is a tough issue...
Cars operate on a simple basis, Fuel, Air, Spark convert to heat, heat converted to mechanical motion...
emissions, economy, and convenience make things complicated.... lol

Awwwe man, my next suggestion for Stormy's "Mechanic Needed" thread was going to be a Car Bash fund raiser to help Stormy buy a new car (or at least a better used one). I figure that he might have been getting frustrated to the point that he would not pass up on that idea for his broken car.
Wow, the ignition coil going bad????, that is unique. But speaking of Chrysler vehicles my Dad's ignition coil went out in 2 of his Jeep Cherokee's ....... both of which happen to be Chrysler products, so go figure.
