My sister and I leave visual clues for each other. When I prepare the coffee-pot for her, I leave a clean, upside down cup on top as an indication that it's ready, no note necessary.
With some loved ones, it's a ritual to call as soon as I wake and sing Happy Birthday, no matter how groggy I, or they, may be.
It's branded on my heart if it's carved into a tree.

My hubby gets up with me in the mornings and makes me breakfeast before I go to work.....even if he doesn't have to be up early...just because 
I place "love you" notes around the house... he loves them!

Same here Grumble.. Lady Specs runs the show here.. her wants and needs come first.. altho I do growl at her when she wakes me up at 3am bumping the side of the bed because her back itches

When Mac leaves my house along with the many kisses and hugs I stand outside and wait till hes driving off and blow a kiss to him ... and email him every morning to tell him I love him and hope he has a great day...

I have a sweet friend that used to bring me an iced coffee and a bag of peanut M&Ms on his way home from work every day. Made moving hard.

My x never was the romantic type, even though I was and still am. Geeesh, can't believe I put up with that for 30+ years! His new wife talks with me and tells me he hasn't changed...he must have been a "leopard" in another life.

Not just a "chick" thread, I hope, Jerry. Don't males have rituals also? I know that some of them do...
Give you a for instance: My brother and his best friend used to always take turns buying each other lunch at work.
A friend of mine used to give this funny sort of arm-motion to indicate to his friend that he was unbelieving of something he heard.
And maybe it wouldn't be called love by most males, but that's certainly a form of it, in my opinion...
Where I used to work, it was a ritual done by me and two male friends that we'd share crossword puzzles, the really difficult ones, we were an awesome trio doing them, if I do say so myself. We did them during break.
