Go here and figure out your Body Mass Index. If your BMI is more than 23 then you're lookin at "few extra pounds," baby!

19.6 (2nd percentile for my age)
Not bad for being forced to sit on my butt for almost six weeks!

in America the average person is 30 lbs overweight....
thin is not average...
and the BMI is a faulty measure... every player in the NFL is 40-50 lbs overweight according to BMI
the NBA found that 60% were overweight according to the BMI...
Obese and proud of it...

BMI without the body fat ratio is a useless bit of information. Ronnie Coleman would be massively obese according to the BMI yet his body fat is under 5% during training.
Body fat ratio is a much better factor to determine whether or not you're overweight.

I think it's a good enough gauge for the average Jo/Joe. Athletes are often in their very own category when using most measurements of physical health.

Exactly. For the vast majority of people it's practically on the money.

Pete, that was really rude of you! And I happen to KNOW it's not true!
Grumble you are correct! Overly thin is not healthy and puts to much pressure on our youth today causing many eating disorders and pressure for young ladies.
Okay, I got a 587.3 Is this considered slim/petite? I better go change my profile to average
