i noticed some people mention their sign in another thread - which gave me the idea to start this thread.
tell us your sign and anything that you want us to know about your sign? do you believe in astrology? sun-sign compatability? horoscopes?
My sign is Gemini (which helps explain why i write/talk so much!).
General Geminalities ;P
PLUSES - never boring, intellectual, talkative, social, good communicator, jack of all trades
MINUS - lack of concetration; two faced; flirty; talkative, no stick-to-itiveness
I get along best with other Air signs (Gemini, Aquarius, Libra) because we all best understand the quirky/flighty nature of an air sign.
I do believe that your astrological sign "can" influence your behavior (i am very close to being a textbook gemini). I also believe two people's astrological sign can affect their compatability. I don't buy into horoscopes at all - i find them incredibly silly and generic.

I don't put too much stock in astrology but I do fit the Virgo mold fairly well. I'm pretty critical of myself.

I'm a double Cancer with a strongly Libran first house.
Translated: I'm a mom by nature. The kind that likes having a house full of family and friends. A nurturer (ask the baby squirrels), patient (most of the time), and very loyal once you are let into my "inner circle".
The flip side is that I can be moody. Make that MOODY.
But there's a whole lot more to anyone than just their Sun sign, so if the newspaper "horrorscopes" don't ever seem to fit, don't poo-poo the idea until you've had your chart properly calculated. You'll probably find your Sun sign's influence overshadowed by other aspects in your natal chart.
Synastry, the art of comparing two people's natal charts, is a great tool to get a better understanding of the dynamics at work within their relationship. The composite chart, a combining of two charts into one, shows the relationship as an entity unto itself and shows a different view of what goes on between two people.
If it's not obvious, I believe it's valid. But then, I am a professional astrologer, too, so perhaps a bit biased.

i'm a leo with a gemini ascendant and piscean moon. in other words, i'm a ham (regally speaking); i prefer intellectual pursuits and procrastinate like nobody's business (the piscean influence).
my name reduces to ma'at (8 aka justice); she is the prototype of american justice incarnate. i'm told that i'm a protector/nurturer (i'm mama L according to classy), and that is true. nothing ticks me off faster than 2 c bullies pouncing on the defenseless. i've read that i'd b good in the political area (ha! i'm not politically correct), and i should pursue law or acting.
