I came here from Plenty-o-tuna, so I was hoping that I wouldn't get kicked off here for making comments.
I checked to see if there were good looking women on here.
And the forum topic heading and "Who's Online" count.
It looked pretty good so I decided to nest here.
I guess no 3 people influenced me or taught me anything on here, but I do have very good chatting friends here.
Oh I take that back.... I learned BB Code insertion here and later looked it up on the internet to learn more. I Guess I learned that from MatchDoctor or MDTech in the Announcement Forum.

How they showed me the hand of friendship on MD and I extended my hand to others as well on MD.
How to laugh was a big one for me too, the people on here always knew ways to make me feel better if things weren't going as great as I had hoped.
How to blog, I had no idea was blogging was before MD lol.

1. Probably what I would consider my closest female friend even though we have never met. A bonding in moments that have lasted over a year. Simply astounding. And she makes me laugh like no other. She taught me that real love can be found on a singles site. It may not be what you came for, but it is a wonder nonetheless.
2. I basically came here with someone I cared a great deal about. And while things disolved quite quickly, it was that situation that got me to post my writing in public for the first time. In a way, I owe him. So he exposed me to blog land.
3. A friend whom all of the girls drooled over. We are still tight to this day. Handsome, smart, witty and in his own way...profound. We taught each other the ability to love someone of the opposite sex without sex being involved. That men can be real. Get real. And even stay real. And that real men still exist!

1. The first person that introduced me to the forums was Pete. That taught me the way to get to know people on here. Reading their posts, interacting. Though knowing what I know now about online, I'm surprised I navigated without stepping on a landmine.
2. The first woman I really talked with...is someone who will be a lifelong friend. What it was that sparked the instant connection, I can't say. We spotted each other and I'm closer to her than any friend I've had in "real life". We laugh like mad, we cry, we write, and I adore her.
3. One of the other three people, taught me to be careful. That as the old song says...Smiling Faces Sometimes.....They Don't Tell the Truth.
Can you dig it?

1. Someone I actually followed here. I closed out other proiles and came here initially to screw around in the forums. Then she inpired me to blog. Still one of my best friends, I've trusted her with EVERYTHING. She taught me to shine bright on dark days. To just take the time at the end of the day to cram my 6'4" body into a little bathtub. She also taught me to NEVER eat cheese curds again. Blech.
2. One christian in particular in the R & S forums that has a VERY open view on other's opnions.
3. A gal that reall saw something and tried to play matchmaker behind the scenes.

I love it!
It took me a LONG time to venture into forums, more for blogs, more again for religion and politics. I don't always say what's on my mind, though...sometimes I take a walk or break.

I have made some amazing women friends here who did their best to help me scope out the lay of the land when I was a brand-spankin' newbie,and still act as very wise sounding boards. I love these broads immensely

The first person made me realize I can blog whatever I want. People will still read it. I'm a born blogger, whether it's crap or not I can still post it...Thanks to him!
...The second person made me realize you can actually really make friends on the internet. I doubted it. She has become one of my best friends and I love her as much as if we shared the same womb.
The third, well there is no third. It's everyone in the forum's. I used to think it was a tight group of posters then I realized, hey I can post too. Everyone is nice there, if not nicer than in Blogland most times. Now I love the forum's thanks to all of you!
...I have to have a 4th, that would be the creator of MD. If it weren't for the creator of MD, I would't be here and none of you would be either. I never thought I would love a dating site so much. Especially when I've never used it for dating...Tee hee!

Yes, great thread!
The first three I met on MD showed me acceptance and warmth. Two things I lacked in real life. MD on the whole, has shown me that many folks on the net are actually real people with thoughts, feelings, and needs of their own. I suspected as much, but it was difficult to actually feel compassion for a screen... until I learned that I am only a screen to them as well.

I just took a looksee in here one day....was checking it out for a female friend who lives near me. I messaged 3 guys on here....just for the fun of it to feel my way around......two of them didnt bother to reply........the other one did. That was well over a year ago now........and we have been great great friends ever since. That man is the closest friend I have on here. He taught me how to blog........and find my way around. I cant remember much after that......how I got from there to this....in fourms. I have met tons of lovely ladies on here........lovely MD friends since......both male and female alike. It has been a wonderful experience.....getting to know all of them. They havent taught me anything......but have learned quite a bit about politics in the US.....as in whose who.....that I didnt know before. Its been an interesting journey being on MD. I have mainly enjoyed the fun and banter in forum threads. That would have to be NO.3.
