Paul Newman dies at 83
A truly decent man as well as a great actor...I never met him when I lived back east but a number of friends had, and never had anything but good to say of him.

How sad...He was one of my favorite actors of the day. He was adorable, full of life, active....too bad!!! I'm glad that he died at home with his family without the press getting wind of it and making his last days more difficult for the family...

My uncle used to share a flat with him in the village, they were both looking for a break into acting at the time, Obviously, Paul made it and my uncle settled for an office job eventually.
I was lucky to have met Mr. Newman when I was a pre-teen and he came across as a regular guy with a love for life.
I know I will always remember meeting him.

This is a loss! I love him best as "Cool Hand Luke." It's good to see that he lived a full life and helped many people along the way. He will be missed.

Oh gosh...........when did he die. I have only just seen this. I loved some of his movies.........one of my very favourite was EXODUS......I still watch it......just about every other week. I think I have seen the movie abouit 100 times now and still love it. He had real sex appeal. I wasnt wrapped in his movies as he aged........but sure loved him in his hay day. Dont forget to tell me when he ded.......I didnt see it or hear about it on our news.

This is really sad...he was one of Hollywood's you didn't hear much bad about....and his marriage-how great to last that long.

I saw this in the news today. Anybody who can fore go the temptations Hollywood has to offer, maintain a solid marriage and good reputation is a great man in my book.
Well that & he was such a great actor & sooooooooooooo damn good looking!
My daughter went to the same college he went to - I know that doesn't count for MUCH - except it's a darn good college. Kenyon outside of Columbus, OH
