Frost on the pumpkin down by the lake here this AM. My thermometer reads 30 degrees right now and it's 64 degrees in the house. Time to start up the fireplace it would appear...
I look out across the field and can see frost on the neighbors roof in the distance as well as on all of that tall grass in the field. 
Must now stack 4-5 full cords of wood into the garage over the weekend. Stacking that will keep me warm

Yep-
we had to turn the furnace on awhile yesterday morning.
Time for the long sleeves and jackets.....but soup's on!

Here I go again...chilly here too, we'll just about hit 95 today. Don't laugh, at this temperature I break out in goose bumps when I get out of the pool and actually shiver if there's a breeze...I'm thinking about getting a wet suit to extend the season. ..

My house is a toasty 63 degrees. I refuse to turn on the furnace! Didn't I just turn the A/C off a few weeks ago?!

suppposed to be 79 today  after being 104 two days ago its about 65 right now  supposed to rain tomorrow too then back up to the high 90s

Finally slid my carcass out of the rack at 6:45 (and that is waaaay late for me). Looked out of my office window across the field and there is frost all over the field along with the neighbors shed and house...and all of their trees have been masterfully TP'd by someone.  They have a 14YO son and a 13YO daughter. Seems one of them has some determined friends...
It was 29F down here on the lake this AM, dead calm with clear skies. The duck hunters are makin' noise and the steam is rising from the lake in HUGE quantities. Am going to step out there to watch the sun cast across the lake shortly.
Had a fire going in the fireplace all night and just threw a couple of more small logs in. It's 70F in the house and I never used the fan...just the heat that radiates from the blower chamber around the insert kept the place toasty...
Time for some Java and a nice morning sit-a-spell on the deck to contemplate the day...

I actually put on a sweatshirt jacket to sit outside this morning....it was 65 degrees!!! Ok...so I'm a whimp...it will hit the mid 70s today in the Memphis area...better go shopping for sweaters....oh bother
