I'm a redhead with blue eyes...I've dated a redhead with green eyes...Loved him...
...I've dated an Asian guy, Black guy's, Native American's...About the only thing I haven't tried is blondes...I do tend to like darker hair and eyes though.
I assumed it was because it was what I was used to. Where I lived before, 90 percent of the population was Native American, you date what's around you I think...
...I know some seek out people because of their race. For me, if I like you and you like me, that's good enough.

My deceased fiance was Polynesian and Inuit in heritage.
She was most definitely exotic.
However, I've found myself attracted to different "types" of women.
I discovered long ago that all women have something to offer.....

LOL Katie I'd have to disagree. There are definitely some unsexy men as I'm sure there are a few unsexy women as well. Of course, it's also in the eye of the beholder, I'm sure.

Although the threads focus is physical attraction, that’s not to say that emotional/
Spiritual compatibility is not more significant.
I think emotional/spiritual compatibility is number one and trumps all else.
That being said, if there were 20 men and women placed in a room, 10 men on one side of the room and 10 women on the other, and to far away for conversation, we all would have an idea just from what are eyes perceive, who we would be most interested in.
The question is, when you meet in person, will the first visual impressions be right or wrong.

I get what you are saying Kenn. What typically does one go for...looks...appearance wise....
Tall. Taller anyway. (not to hard to accomplish really, I'm kind of short) Dark hair. Someone who smiles often and easily. (smiles with their eyes, not just a used car salesman smile.)
But I think that may be because of what I was raised with. My brothers are all tall with dark hair and they were really my first loves.
Having said that, I have dated just about every race and size of man. It really makes no difference in the end. That is merely what I notice first. What I may be drawn to first.

I'm mostly attracted to bigger guys. Probably because I'm big myself and they make me feel smaller! But I've dated blondes, brunettes, black skinned, brown skinned, light skinned and the ones I've liked the most are those who had a good sense of humor and were fairly intelligent. So I guess I agree with most in here, I do have a basis for attraction but then it all comes down to personality in the end.
