Mmmmmmmmmm....body by Lotus. 3.5 hour charge, 0-60 in under five seconds if I remember rightly (I'd read that somewhere else - I've been in love with this car for awhile...along with the 109K for the car I'd need about 20-30K to install solar so I could live free and drive free...)

Note to self: be sure to have plenty of bail money when Heaven gets her new car.

No bail money needed, honest! I'd head out for the wide open spaces (which fortunately aren't far from here) and see if they really mean that 125 mph. I can't afford it and if I had that much purely disposable income I'm not sure that's what I'd do with it, but driving around in my dreams is sure sweeeeeeeeeeet!

I don't care about the 125mph, I'll never be driving it that fast, but fully electric and no gas, I can go for that. .

Kinda makes you wonder, if some unheard of company with limited resources can come out with this, why can't one of the big three?

The closest thing that I know of will be the Chevey Volt in 2010, but it pails in comparison.

Check out the movie "who killed the electric car", this expains a lot.

Well, I have been reading about this car.. only available in Cali, if I remember correcting.

Aptera, this looks like fun too!

All electric version around $27,000 and hybrid around $30,000

tried to get a pic to post

They said it goes for 40 miles, I guess before it needs a recharge, so it would be a great car for around town, but on long trips, I don't know about that.

At least the Aptera is more affordable, too bad you can only get them in CA.

If they catch on, they'll spread out...I'd sure like to test drive one, just to see what a three wheeler feels like. I'd definitely not want to drive it around Phoenix though - one of my coworkers was killed a couple of days ago, riding a motorcycle, which is the standard the Aptera meets as far as structure goes. Too much traffic around here for a car like that.

Does it have a Flex Capacitor?

Why do I suddenly feel like Marty McFly? sings " I wanna go BACK in time...."

Looks nice, but a car that only goes 40 miles isn't useful for much.

That's what I was thinking...would make those road trips a bit more difficult.

The perfect car for Al Gore!!!

It takes a 220-volt, 70-amp circuit (roughly enough power to air condition two medium-sized houses) to recharge the thing.

I bet it only comes with music by the 80s rockers Tesla too!! Wait , that might cut the power range in half or more.
