Guys, what do you really think of makeup?

Maybe I have a taste for the natural, or maybe I’m just plain ol’ blind but every woman that I’ve seen with and without makeup I’ve felt looked MUCH better without it. Frankly the vast majority of makeup jobs invokes visions of circus clowns in my head. And lemme tell ya Bozo’s got nothin’ on some of the women’s’ pics here on MD.
So do you like that crap or what?

Don't need it and don't wear it. An occasional lipgloss and blush, but, that's it.

Not at all dear. Natural is best in my opinion. I always look at those makeover pics in magazines and think the before pics looked better.
Oh, and, MY pic......CHOCOLATE LIPGLOSS

I don't think there's anything wrong with make-up when used moderately. But too often women can go overboard on the make-up and end up looking like Tammy Fay Baker. It's also important to use the right colors for the right hair and eye colors...Some women haven't grasped that concept yet. They think they can just grab any color and wear it and have it look good...NOPE...Not quite.

I agree with ET. (Did I really say that? LOL! j/k)
I certainly don't wear much makeup, but a judicious touch of the right colors to accent the eyes, a little blush, a light dusting of powder to help even out skin tone - this kind of "five minutes in front of the mirror" can make quite a difference in taking someone from blandly pretty to pretty stunning.

different strokes for different folks..
(I'm only talking about when it is done right here. Hideous looking makeup makes me )
I personally prefer what ever fits the occasion. Make up is make up, it can hide a multitude of issues, subtly change a look, accentuate features..just like clothes do.
AND
I also feel that anyone (Male) who says that they dislike all makeup is just trying to be PC..
As far as I am concerned, If this is your honest opinion

Ask your date to delete perfume, deodorant, sexy clothes ( including undergarments) high heels and anything else that adds to a person in a good way.
As for women, I would never ask or require you to wear anything that makes you uncomfortable and would support you in which ever way you decide..No make up, little make up, or glamor makeup, what ever you decide is best for you is best for me.

 Thank you Felici. This thread is a perfect example of men trying to change us women. Im not changing! I like my makeup, and the make up in each of my profile pictures is different. The main pic I have barely any make-up on other than my lipstick and the red lipstick STAYS!

I'm not trying to change anyone. I was merely answering the question that was asked. I didn't say I hated makeup or even disliked it. I just prefer a natural look, not all made up all the time. Just wanted to clarify. Btw, to those that suggested I'm trying to be PC, if you knew me at all you would see that that little theory doesn't hold water. If nothing else, I am honest and have integrity. My views are my views and I stand behind them. If that makes me unlikable to you then so be it. Plenty of other people appreciate honesty.

I'm with SC and ET...the judicious use of makeup can only enhance natural beauty. In fact, guys, you might be surprised at how much care actually goes into a "natural look" when it's well done!

I don't wear makeup... EVER! I kind of prefer my skin ON my face and there hasn't been one made yet that doesn't cause a severe allergic reaction and make me feel like my face is being nibbled on by bugs.

I am glad you started this thread. There are too many women out there that cake on the makeup and sisters this should show you that men don't like it. Maybe on a hooker, but not the woman they are thinking about dating in public.
I hate neon colors on the eyelids and black lip liner. But that is personal preference I suppose. I like a little coverup and tinted lipgloss. I do wear a little eyeliner for special occasions, though.
