One this morning about 4 30 or so (I dont really know the time Mac told me there was one I slept thru it ) and then one just a few ago at 9:41.. I know they scare the heck outta folks but they are kinda predictable.. well for me they are .. if its hot when its supposed to be cold they hit.. or a sudden shift in temps from like 90 to 50 .. its just common sense hot and cold make things contract and expand.. yet people a re still shocked when it happens I was just telling Mac the other day it was earthquake weather and well yeppers I was right we will more than likely have a few more before the weather finally changes to NORMAL November temps ... been in the 90's here this past week when it should be chilly and like at the highest 70 and then we have the fires storms and that intense heat also sets off earthquakes... so you Calis out there just hold on to yer britches and let the earth do its shimmy shimmy dance

Just be safe! It sounded like the Santa Anas were dying down and they can contain the fire better....55 square miles so far.
They also said it was a human started fire

few months ago earth shaked here, was small but enough for me to feel on the house. thousands of people flooded the emergency civil protection headquarters saying there was a earthquake, havent made any damages but proven that we as a nation aint equiped or prepared to answer the call in case of a tsunami/earthquake like we had in 1755 that obliterated completely the capital of Portugal, the shock waves made buildings colapse and after that a tsunami invaded downtown, caused 10 thousand dead people. on a day like today such thing would kill over a million considering the ammount of people that converge to Lisbon for working purpose.
Lisbon earthquake
we portuguese say that where is smoke there's fire , so its always better to be prepared for the surprises earth reserve for us

Merch I live ON a fault line so we get them DAILY but a good jolt like this morning where the things rattle are kinda rare.. usually just a gentle wave feeling ... not like something hit the house.. too weird me and Mac were actually talking about it yesterday how the insurance cos will be cutting out fire insurance like they did earthquake in some areas or make it so damned expensive you cant afford it.. I mean wtf is insurance for but to compensate for a loss right .. the cause of it if natural should not be a factor unless well its a yearly thing like living on a flood plain and the house being flooded year after year or in a tornado alley
its funny actually so many people fear quakes *how can yo live in Cali?* etc.. and me i say this to them.. i may live where the ground shakes but after a quake my house and stuff will still be there (kinda maybe) it wont be strewn across the county or washed down the river and most of the time nothing bad happens just a bit of shaking heck a good sonic boom does more damage

A few years back, there was a quake in Las Vegas....rare, I'm told. A friend of mine was there with a gal that likes to prank peopl. When D came out from brushing her teeth, she said A's bed was shaking across the floor, and she started yelling at her to knock it off. Then they evacuated all of the casinos, so thousands of people were milling around the street.
Some in jammies. That could have been interesting

Have only felt one earthquake. Few years back. Saturday morning, lying in bed. Bed starts shaking, latches on the dressers clinking a little. It was a little giggle inside for a minute...like, 'sooo...that's what it feels like'. Only a 3.1 centered about 70 miles away. If it had been a work day, would've been too busy to feel it.

ts funny actually so many people fear quakes *how can yo live in Cali?* etc.. and me i say this to them I say THIS...
You guys have hurricane season...you have tornado season. There is no 'earthquake season'. I'd rather deal with a quake every few years than worry about hurricanes or tornadoes all season long.
Mer...you missed the Big One....Loma Prieta back in 89. That was the scariest quake I've ever experienced. Don't ask for another like that...it's bad karma...lol. Give me a nice little 5.5 - 6.2. I don't want anything bigger than that...LOL
