I have put a wild bird feeder up because of the cold weather! I have never seen such a variety of tits, large- small- blue- yellow!
It’s the blue tits that stand out the most on a frosty morning, but the ‘lesser spotted shag’ comes a close second in my opinion. Witch ‘wild bird’ catches your eye?

When I lived in Michigan, I had 5 bird feeders. Plus a squirrel feeder, and a Finch feeder!
I loved watching all the birds.
Cardinals, Blue Jays, and lots of other birds in the winter. Then in the summer, we got the Robins, and the Blue birds back.
I never had any artifial feeders for the Humming Birds though, there was plenty of flowers for them.

I love chickadees. They will actually perch on your hand to eat. One of my favorite things to do on a cold, snowy day is to bring some seed to the park and watch my hand become a human bird feeder!

Chickeddes, are a very friendly bird. I forgot about them. Sigh, I do miss feeding the birds...and all the other animals I fed then.
Lol, we even had a feeder back in the woods for other wild animals too.

Hi Dev,
Okay, since I know we have some word usage confusion (fag, for instance), what exactly is a 'tit' ?
I have a hawk nesting in a tree by my home. What a wingspan, and I love the way they fly so gracefully.
I think I enjoy my hummingbirds most of all. One got caught in my house one day, and I actually got to hold and pet it. What a thrill.
I live a matter of blocks away from the Big Morongo Preserve. We take pride in the fact, we have over 475 species of birds here.
I have even seen pelicans flying over my home, while enroute to the Salton Sea. Amazing! Especially since I live in the desert.

Hey Classy
A Blue ‘tit “Parus caeruleus” is a small bird, its our commonest tit. Widely and abundantly distributed over most of Britain, absent only from bare uplands and outlying islands of the N/W.
Small and colourful, the combination of blue and yellow making it easily identified.
Now what did you think it was?

Thanks Dev!
From the way you describe them, sounds as though they are quite beautiful.
I thought I knew what you were talking about, but 'tits' here are 'breasts'.
