I promised to come home for Thanksgiving and I did,,,,but the turkey is all gone I hope everyone had a HAPPY THANKSGIVING
I am thankful for my MD friends and having a 'cyber home' that I can always come back to
I'll be back for Christmas,,,,unless I get addicted again and don't leave
EDIT,,,,I googled the date,,,,now I know why there's no turkey here,,,,,I'll come back on the right date

The "have a Happy Thanksgiving, dammit" thread Sorry. I have other plans.
(But I do hope all my friends and loved ones, here on MD and everywhere else, have a great day and remember all the blessings of their lives.)

Oh, good thread! Oh, most of my memories were awful last, oh, last 10 years except for last two. Drunken Mom almost falling out of the chair at the table a couple years before she died. I love my Mom, you guys but I felt guilty when I realized after she died and the next year later (We didn't celebrate at home for a time) that I no longer had to deal with fearing being attacked because she drank to much and I didn't leave soon enough to get away before she got vicious.
I felt a great sense of relief that I had nothing to fear anymore and I no longer had a long drive to visit my sister. Is that a bad thing? Being glad there are no more drunk celebrations and cruelty? I don't feel guilty anymore. Just a great sense of relief. Freedom.

I am bringing dip to my sister's friend's house. I guess they liked my dip last time.
