I'm going to go easy on myself because I dislike making resolutions and then days later break them.
So I'll say, I will try to be more compassionate towards others as well as myself.

I just thought of one to add to my list...make a point of going to the no-kill shelter and getting my Great Dane mix that I can't stop thinking about. He's almost as tall as me and weighs 160 pounds...but he's such a super nice dog. I hope he's still there waiting for me.  Dog and him will be great friends! Think I'll call him Cat

I have more than one, of course.... but the first one to pop out of my mouth after Christmas with my son-in-law was..... Resolution #1 -- I DON'T HAND OUT WITH ASSES. Nope - I just don't do it no more, no more.. (tune of Hit the Road Jack) I just don't do it no more.

....Having never made a NY resolution before, there is still a couple of days to contemplate.
...The dog at the shelter sounds great! ... And so does making more money, to help those that need the help; especially the old folks.
...And then there is maybe smoking a better cigar, or drinking a better wine, but I really do like Swisher Sweets and Beringer's white zif is fine by me. Taking some Latin dance classes is doable, as well as a few college courses of interest, but those are not really resolutions.
...Or, maybe posting less in the forums, or staying out of the political threads for a few months would be a resolution, but not really beneficial to anyone, or anything, except more time to do something else.
...  Hmmm, so far, it is either the dog, or more money... or both.

Every year i say to lose weight...and it never happens...i always end up gaining a few.....so this year i think i will say gain weight....then maybe i will lose it....ffs...!!
A New Year's resolution is something that goes in one Year and out the other.

...But whatever, it is not working this week... way too much good food, including breads, pastas and pastries... and everything else that is sweet. Why is it, that everything that tastes great is fattening and everything that is nasty tasting, is good for you? Nobody gains weight with cooked cabbage or liver.
