My dad is good friends with Don Saliers, Emily Saliers (of the Indigo Girls) father. He remembers Emily from when she was little. Don and Emily recently did mini-concert at Emory, Don's and Dad's Alma Mater.

I met and talked to Patrick Conroy, the writer of The Great Santini and Lords of Discipline.
My lil' brother works with Dr. Stephen Hawking and went to grad school at Princeton and knew John Nash of A Beautiful Mind.
And many great grandfather's ago sat for a potrait with George V of Britain.
I also met late former Senator of Alabama, Howell Heflin.
My late mother used to visit Republican Senator Richard Shelby's office regularly.

I once saw Jodie Foster driving a car with another girl passenger (heh heh) years ago. Someone said her parents had a house somewhere in our county and she was visiting during a break from college.

I was hanging out in the hallway of a Chicago hotel with Bob Hope when I was 3 ( I wish I could remember it though ).
I ran into ( literally ) Valerie Bertinelli at a Van Halen concert. 
I met Chrissy Hines with her baby, and rode in the elevator with Martin Chambers of the Pretenders.
( wish I remembered more of that too )
I stepped on a guys foot, and turned around to apologize and it was Chuck Norris.  And Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith w/ kids were there too.
I was talking with a few guys last summer at a political rally who turned out to be my congress man, shocked the hell out of me as they excused themselves to walk up on stage...
And I was at President Fords funeral, kinda weird seeing guys with rifles on the cities roof tops, and black helicopters flying over head. The F-15 missing man formation overhead along with the 10 howitzers paying tribute was quite remarkable, and something I will never forget.
And my first cousin was an Olympic skater killed in a plane crash in 1961.
Among the dead were the entire United States Figure Skating team, who were en route to the 1961 World Championships in Prague, Czechoslovakia.
