Man, I've been going to the same gym for 5 years, and they just screwed it up. They took out all of the heavier weights, and painted the place gay pink--including the mens' dressing room!! They are going to put in sensors that buzz if you grunt too loud, or drop the weights. Hello, weights are heavy!! They might as well just put up a sign that says "Curves." 
Well, I couldn't get out of there fast enough, and joined a bigger, better one that is just a little further from home. Thought that might make some of you who know me laugh. 
On a side note, I'm going to be sore tomorrow after going to the new place tonight.

No, it wasn't the color. They took out all the heavier dumbells (any over 70 lbs.), a lot of the machines, and just generally made it into a glorified aerobics studio. All of us guys who lift regularly went to the new place. I think the owner of the other gym shot himself in the foot with the changes.
Ha ha. Ok, if you want to paint the joint pink, at least don't do it to the man cave that is the mens' locker room though.

I was reading about how women really do prefer colors in the red/pink range and men prefer the blue shades. It seems to be in our genes. NOT JEANS Jerry! 
A hunter, gatherer thing. Berries are red, the sky is blue.

The pink would have bothered me, but I wouldnt miss the 70 lb dumbbells.
If you can curl 40's you are doing good. They have machines that can make up for any heavier dumbbells these days.
On the positive side, the new decor might have attracted some really nice scenery.
