How Well Do Your Gene's Fit

We all know the stereotypes of our cultures, be it Greek, Italian, Irish, German, African, etc., my question is, how well, if at all, do these stereotypes suit you?
Since this was my bright idea, I'll go first. I'm about 95% Irish, I have green eyes, and auburn hair. I'm as stubborn as all get out, and it takes awhile for my temper to get going, but once it does, it's in your best interest to move quick. Everyone in my family has had a time when they drank too much, some still do. On the positive side, I'm very fun loving and out-going and frequently "full of the Blarney" as the saying goes.
Now, we can't judge anyone else, just our own perceptions on how we do/don't fit the stereotype.

Interesting question, Cyn! I don't really know what my stereotypes would be...I'm half British, quarter Native American and quarter French. I can't think of any real stereotypes for British or French people (except cultural ones) and the only real genetic stereotype I can think of for Native Americans is the old "can't handle liquor" one.

I am a Scotch Irish and german mix, I am very mechanically inclined, love the sound of bagpipes ( Allways dreamed of learning to play the darn things ) and when I know I am right will fight to the death rather than give in.
And yes, I am always striving to get more power out of an engine.

I'm German Swiss. I'm a pretty headstrong woman. When my German friend and I get together, we try to out shout each other and get into debates. He wins the shouting contests, and I win the debates.
As for the Swiss--aren't they yodelers? I love to sing. I walk around the house singing, sing in the shower, and singing while driving is the best. I have gotten some funny looks from passers by, because I also 'rock out'  .

French/German on one parental side and Irish/Scot with the other. I suspect I got the red hair from my mother's side of the family and the blue-grey eyes are definitely from my father's side, the rest is a toss up. I don't have either the Irish temperment or the German stubborness, although I am known to be inordinately fond of French bread and good Merlot. Actually, since I am best known for annoying cawcawfophenys and being fascinated with collecting bright shiny objects, I think I hark back to a past life where I was a magpie.

Wow, the Germans are taking over the forums!
I'm half German and half Slovenian. I'm not sure about stereotypes, but nearly all of us from the Slovenian side of the family have sung professionally at some point in our lives, and family reunions mostly consist of food, softball and singing (the guys are all Barbershop and the gals are Sweet Adelines). And yes, I'm singing along with the rest. I really like my family though as nothing much is organized, it's just a weekend of doing what you feel like...hiking, fishing, playing ball, horseback riding or go-cart racing; whatever rings your chimes. Slovenia doesn't really have its own identity - we're kind of a mix of Greek and Polish; language is more like Greek, food is more like Polish, culture is mostly just about living life to the max...ok, maybe Zorba would be a good example!
On the other side, I guess I can be as stubborn as any German who ever lived. Give me a good rational argument and I'm open to it; try to browbeat me in any way, and I'll dig in my heels.

I'm second-generation Polish on both sides. I've been told there's a malingering gene or two of Scandinavian on my mother's side but it's so far back I don't think it really counts any more. Except that I could actually carry off being blonde, literally and figuratively!
Since Poland has ended up as an amalgam of her conquerors for so many, many years I really don't think there is much to be said as far as stereotypes any more. The denigrating ones that came with the waves of European immigrants were certainly not valid, so other than being a survivor as is the character of my ancestor's homeland, I'm probably simply "just" an American, if the truth be told.

I am half Syrian and half Italian. I love the hot weather and I tend to tan very easily. That is the syrian in me. I am an incurable romantic and just love to talk and talk. I have been told if look's could kill that mine would when I am angry. That is the Italian in me. It a combination that you don't find often.

I am half german, just over a quarter american indian and the rest is an amalgam of scots, irish, english and dutch.
You can't get much more stubborn than I can be when I am right. Before I started turning gray my hair was a very dark auburn. My eyes change color depending on my mood and what I am wearing. One of my brothers jokes that I am so frugal that you can send me to the store with a dime and I will come home with 11 cents change. I am very slow to anger but once I am "there" your BEST bet is to vacate until I am over the urge to rip someone's head off.

Cherokee Indian/Irish/English here..... I love nature, feeling the wind on my face.... don't have a temper until pushed to far..... and I love a "spot" of tea.

I'm a mutt, so I suppose if we go by stereotypes that explains my multiple personality disorder. Heh.. just kidding.
I used to have quite darker skin tone than nowadays which possibly could have been attributed to the cherokee indian I have in my blood stream, but my european heritage took over and now I'm definitely a white girl. However, I do still have the high cheek bones, temper, and red tint to my hair that comes from the indian heritage.

You know, Peaches, my skin tone did the same thing! I had a noticeably dark skin tone until I was about 20, and then the European took over! Wow, what a not-nice history lesson to live in one's own skin tone...
