Why is it that the spammers/scammers from China, North Africa, and Thailand that are 20, gorgeous knockouts and want to marry an American JUST LIKE ME are all named Lcroft?

Most of my spammers look a little grey, with email addys.
I do get some with stolen pics, but they never answer my PMs.

Damn, you Boyz are harsh!
I figured months ago reading these pages that it wasn't really a dating site. On MD, I have like three or four women total within a 50 or 75 mile radius around Washington DC (I'm in No. Va. a mile fro, Dulles Airport). none of them blog or do the forums, either. You guys any luckier?

well, don't get caught up in any behind the scene gossip or tell anyone what you might know about others...no matter what your reasoning for doing so might be...the womens won't understand and will excoriate you for losing their trust...

Nah. No one's gonna tell me anything anyway, and what women trusts any guy on these forums/blogs/bbs' these days? Ya could have a solid gold halo and they'd wonder anyway, and why shouldn't they? Between the bullies and the psychos, bad guys took a lot of the fun out of web-stuff a long time ago. But this little corner of the web is pretty cool..

This is the second time today I have read where you called this site lame... so either you feel comfort in the 'lame zone'? or you are feeling left out somehow?
As I said this is what it says to me and obviously I speak only for myself... perhaps there is a better explanation? Care to share? I truely have a difficult time understanding why someone would spend so much time and energy in something they would consider 'lame'.

I think you pretty much hit it on the head. The forums & blogs (and the people who use them) are what make MD worth the while. A dating site? I have seen very little evidence of that. Like you, I live is a relatively large metro area & there are very few women, on this site, that live even remotely close to me. According to a search that I just did, there have been 120 women on this site, who live within 100 mile radius of my zip code between the ages of 35 & 60, in the last month. That includes the ones who are married, scammers, men pretending to be women, fake accounts.....
In other words, enjoy the forums. If lightning strikes & you actually make a connection, then you got a bonus.

Ah, to me, MD is my corner hang out. When I was stuck out in a backwater armpit place, this place kept me sane. Now I am in civilization, I let it go, TOtally crazy now.
