It is Springtime, time for some personal/emotional self cleaning

It's Spring time and this time of the year represents rebirth, renewal and new beginnings.
What do you need to do this spring to make your life
totally happy and fulfilled?

Although I consider myself a generally happy and optimistic person, most of us can sense and do know when life seems a bit off skew and your life doesn't have the level of fulfillment you know it can, or has had.

Sometimes it is a bit hard to diagnose and figure out what needs to be done to bring ourselves back in balance.
For some it maybe a trip, just to get away from the daily grind and see life from a different perspective.
For others it maybe exercising and revitalizing their health, or even donating time to help others through humanitarian outreach, in the later you're changing the focus from self interest, to the greater good of all, and for some this is what they need to bring themselves back in balance.

At this time of Spring renewal and change, are you perfectly fulfilled?
If not, what do you need to do or change to get there?

I can't think of any emotional cleansing needed at this time .. I am very satisfied with my life right now.. I guess the only thing that could make it better would be if I had a companion to share my life with.. but.. as it is, things are going well.. I have a good job.. great friends and I am finally losing some weight.. slowly but surely..
So.. I can't complain ..

Yep, I did some emotional cleansing but it was not just this spring. I have been doing it for years. I did however toss the guy out I tried to start over with. He totally failed to keep his end of the deal so out he went...finally. My biggest part of emotional cleansing was releasing him from my life. No more liars.

We're getting another *hint* of spring in the next few days ... supposed to be in the 50's !!!

The nicer weather inspires me to do physical spring cleaning. I have a tendency to become disorganized if I don't keep at it every day. (Three teens still here .. nice to be able to blame THEM .. haha)

The physical cleaning helps my mental & emotional cleaning. When everything is organized & I know all bills are up to date, all appointments are on the calendar, etc I have a more positive outlook.

This spring especially, I really have to get more positve thinking in my life. I need to regain my humor. I have to look each day in the face & live now. Not quite sure how I will accomplish this. A few days away used to help but that's out of the question right now.

I know a lot of why I am feeling humorless & not so positive is dealing with Steve's ongoing health issues & not being in control of it ... Not being able to fix it ... I'm a mom & a nurse & I'm used to having the answers & being able to fix things. It doesn't feel good to not know.

So my plan is to keep pasting on a smile, even if I'm not really feeling it .. And keep TRYING to be optimistic & happy.

I really don't want any spring teases, we still have a full month of winter left, and then spring can start. Going from 50 to 15, and back again for the next 2 months is just aggravating.

Besides, when it finally gets here, and each week gets a little warmer, then greener, you really appreciate what Spring means, there is nothing like ti us in the snow belt.

I try that so much, too, Jen-since my Dad died.

The past few weeks I've been really thinking hard. Teaching is no longer fun. The kids are disrespectful. If I try to have fun in the classroom this group goes nuts! So I have to keep everything toned down low and not do any joking, etc. with them. But the administration is turning us all into robots who teach the same thing the same day. No spontaneity allowed anymore. So I plan to give it one more year, then retire and find something more fun. I'm not looking for a 2nd career, just a job to fill time and get me out of the house and among people. Something I won't have to bring home with me at night or on week ends. I want more time for yard work, my cats and my family.

Hey Sign
Good luck with the job change, although it maybe a little tricky finding one now or the next year in this economy.

My brother is finishing 4 years of college this spring and was going to wait a few years until returning to continue on to get a masters degree.
Since the economy is so bad, he is now considering just staying in school and working for his masters now.
Most people I know if they have a job, they are hanging onto it for dear life.
Just be aware if you let this one go, a second one may not be that easy to come by.
Good luck in whatever you decide.

Kenn I'm not going to look for something high-powered, just a clerking job or something like that. Dollar General or Dollar Tree or even Wal-Mart always have openings. Even working at a movie theater. There'll be something. I will have my retirement but need to make a bit more to finish off some financial obligations.
