I still haven't made any new friends since I moved. Yes I know it's hard to believe...But what's a good hobby that's not boring as old hell. I'm open to suggestions as long as they don't involve pets or sewing of any kind.

Maybe some overlap with other posters but here goes some off my interest, swimming, tennis, Guitar [don't you play guitar?],bargain hunting [ thrift stores,garage sales and flea markets], running, hiking and exploring[ been doing it was Itsy bitsy, and will probably love it til I die], drums, singing, song writing, nature photography,bicycling, music concerts, movies, native American culture and lore,metaphysics, computers,computer networking and WiFi, HiFi home stereo systems, Tivo mods, building construction and repair, MD  etc.

Pleasuring Men .................. 
Try darts, one of my favorites...... if you use steel tips, the game is always free,once you buy your first set.
They have leagues in pubs and bars, lets you meet the locals, and most important,..... They serve beer there !!!!

I suppose I could count that as a hobby. I do it when I'm bored which is often.
shopping
I try to control that to once every 2 weeks...When it is pleasure shopping time. Not necessity shopping.
Bowling, join a gym, swim (indoors), volunteer, batting cage (guys hang out there
Exercise scares me  However I did go bowling a few times and it is funny. You kinda need someone to go with you though for it to be fun.

I still play guitar, not as often as I should or used to though...I'm just not enjoying it much anymore. Maybe it's a phase I'm going through or something.

I don't mind playing cards actually. I have no clue how to play poker but I don't even know where to go to find anything like that. I think I'm gonna check out my city's website to find out what actually goes on here.

i typically like to stick to things that are in my comfort zone. however, i randomly got asked if i liked to bowl...said yes. and next thing i knew i was on a bowling league with people id never met. For most of them, its more about the socialization than it is the actual game. It has been such a BLAST, and ive met sooooo many more people than i ever would have. I was very apprehensive about it at first and wanted to back out...but it felt great to step out of my comfort level and try something new. Volunteering anywhere really will allow you to meet a lot people, perhaps a hospital? or habitat for humanity?

Motorcycles are fun, hunting and fishing. Football, basketball, tennis....all great fun. Reading, stamps and coins, ebay.

Good suggestions YP! Bowling's always been good for stuff like that, and mixed leagues aren't usually all that cutthroat competitive while you're learning. Of course if you get to be good at it it can take over your life (my son averages over 200  ) He is weaning himself away though, but the 'pots' were pretty darned lucrative.

I play Texas Hold'em several nites a week in a poker league (and rated one of the top ten players in the league). I've made tons of new friends and am invited to parties, outings and such. Reality beats the hell out of the cyber world for sure!!

i grew gourds last summer to paint and decoupage when they dried out..... but dammit, they didn't dry correctly and now they're all shriveled up
oh well..... start again this summer
edited to add..... but then again, everything here in Iowa shrivels up during the winter
