I tend to check the profile first to see if I even want to read it. If she's from the Ukraine it gets deleted right away!

I go check out the pic 
If it's good, I go back and read the mail 
And, on occasion, if the mail REALLY strikes me I may read a profile, but, only on a rare occasion. 
If all three pass............

I read the mail first..then I look at the profile...well if it was from one of them there foreigners i still have the option of deleting..

I'm not always consistant in this area. Most of the time I click on the email because it shows the basic photo with location and age range. Also in the email, if it has an initial subject line.
Sometimes I will go directly to the profile first if no subject line has an intro and the email is in the filtered location.

I read the mail first. If the mail interests me I check out thier profile before I mail em back. I never reply to a mail without checking the profile first.

i always check the profile 1st before i read mailz,.....well, really depending in the 'subject',.... but i mean why bother with the reading if it's from some 78 years old pervert?

I check out the profile first because it gives me a sense of who they are as I read the email. As for automatically deleting those from certain areas, you can set that up through the mail filter system here so that they never even make it to your mail box.

I also go by the view count. If my profile hasn’t been looked at in an hour, and I get an email saying “I like your profile”, that gets tossed as well. Especially considering that anyone who really reads my profile NEVER says that.

I'm with Angel...I'm not always consistant. If there's no pic attached to the email, then I sometimes click over to the profile first, especially if it's a long email and is going to require an investment of time I usually go back and read the email afterward anyway, unless the profile is stupendously awful.
