Does anyone remember this show? It was doing makeovers on women with major cosmetic surgery. I saw this one girl and when they did the reveal she didn't even look like herself, she was very pretty after the makeover, but it was like a totally different person. I doubt I'd want to look totally different, that would just be a bit too freaky. They still have similar shows, but they are not as drastic, one show is called "10 years younger", another "What Not To Wear". Those are more fun to watch. The Swan was just a bit much, One girl went through major depression after her surgery, that was the one they made over who didn't look at all like she looked before the makeover. It was like they did a ton of different surgeries on her back to back. I guess that would wreck anyone's nerves, be a cause of depression. Some people really shouldn't have cosmetic surgery from what I have read because they are unable to handle it, that it could cause depression. What about women who have perfectly nice breasts yet go in for augmentation because they want a size C or D cup. I think the media has alot to do with how people perceive themselves. I'm happy with me, I don't need huge breasts, I don't need perfect hair. I haven't ever been to a nail salon or for a professional massage or even for a pedicure. Perhaps I'm missing out, I don't know. I just like being me. I wonder if that Swan show will ever return. I guess the ratings must not have been that good.

Lunieb, you ARE missing out if you've never had massage. Try hot stone some time. It's amazing. IMO, this show preyed on abused women, who were down on their luck. Now, if they could find women who were well adjusted, not mentally or physically abused, and who wanted the same makeover, (or even a reasonable cross section of women, intstead of Lifetime movie candidates) I think it would have lasted. There are homely women in all walks of life.
