Beautiful day .... Boy twin had mowed the grass & I used the leaf blower to clean up the driveway & sidewalk ... Then swept the walk from the drive to the front door & the front porch.... I poured a glass of water to sit & relax on the newly cleaned porch ... Then went back inside to pour a glass of wine, too ... 'Cause it IS Saturday.
I was sitting there relaxing ... Listening to the birds ... watching the squirrels & chipmunks ... And I noticed some chipping, peeling paint on the pillars of my porch.
"Hmmmmmm", I said to myself..... And sipped some more wine.
"I guess maybe I should get some white paint for that ...... Oh ...hmmmm... The black shutters would look nicer with a fresh coat of paint" ... still just talking to myself.
"The kids could ..... .... ...... .......
STOP!!!!!! Do NOT even THINK about having the kids do this!!!!!"
Simple Description of What Happened Last Time The Boy *Helped*
So I stopped pondering home maintenance and my mind drifted to the recent MD Camping/Wedding Event...
Then, as my mind often does ... especially while sipping a nice shiraz-cab blend ... Thoughts wandered again ...
"This is a pretty nice house .. Big enough to host almost as many as were at the Camping/Wedding Event" I thought with a smug smile.
MatchDoctor Get-Together?
Here?
No hotel fee.
No camp site fee.
Pay for it by painting the pillars!!!
AND someone could probably fix the non-working electrical outlets!!!!
Oh HOLD ON!!! This is BRILLIANT!!!
Kids could stay with Dad for a few days .... Four bedrooms ... Finished lower level with a double bed, fouton & couch ... Three full baths... Who can add quick? How many can stay here? family room. Living room ... More sleeping areas...
Deck with grill.
Patio with portable fire pit.
Rock n Roll Hall of Fame & Museum

I think this would be wonderful especially for the females of us ... Please do nor accuse me of being sexist but geez... I need a man ... men to do some of this manly stuff. Ladies? You, too?
Now right now I think this is simply a fabulous idea .... Could have a bit to do with the fresh air & wine ... But...

We could help each other and have a little get-away & meet our friends.
I guess time & travel may factor in to a problem for some.
I neglected to consider that.
And I did NOT mean to insinuate that men only could do the work. It's just that I can't. Well, I can do the yard work / landscaping but need more man-power ..... or woman-power.
Maybe there's men among us who would welcome some of us in for a weekend and we could do whatever we can do ...

I can help test your showers' "Government Mandated Multiple User" standards to make sure they meet all requirements .... several volunteers may be required to do this properly, however .....

I'm sure that we could get a few volunteers to get naked & test the water flow.
That one is just a stall shower so 3 or 4 of us might get a bit tight in there.... But how else do you test??

Can I get an electrician?
And after we get my things all fixed up & eat & drink & hang out around the fire & have fun .... We'll move on to Loreli's house where she has *something*

Hmmmmmmmmm I'm not totally unpacked from the camping week end yet. Would be easy to repack it all! LOL
I have many things that need to be done here. Only 1 single bed available though. But have a whole field area in front of my house if you bring tents! LOL

why do i have the strange feeling that the men would show up to "help" the ladies but no one would show up to help us guys....
jenn i suggest you wait until the kids are gone before making any improvements or you'll just end up doing them all over again when they leave......good luck with the pillars, scraping and painting isn't that hard...

Electrician?
Can I get an electrician? Uhh... Duvvy is an electrician, AND plumber. I have yet to see something he can't fix. We both do great landscaping too, (pictures on request)  and have done a mighty fine job painting the front room, office, and bathroom.
He just hasn't got any vacation time since he used it all for the camping trip / wedding.
