Some of you already know I have a new kitten. He/she (still not sure! LOL) was found at 4 days old on our playground at school after a night of severe thunderstorms. He was wet, cold and his mouth was stuffed with mud. I got him dry and tried to get him warm. Took nearly 2 days to get his body temp back to normal. I fed him some milk from the cafeteria mixed with water using an eyedropper I got from another teacher. For 2 weeks Lucky went to school with me and then home again, as he needed to be fed every 3 hours. Then it went to every 7-8 hours. He spent 10 days with a friend while I went on the camping trip in Indiana. I couldn't believe how much he'd grown when I finally got him back! He went to the vet last week end and was 4 weeks old and weighed one pound. I'm sure he weighs more than that now. That kitten loves his bottle!
We've passed several milestones: using the box on his own, starting to play, scampering instead of waddling. I'm still working on the one where he will eat on his own. Soon, I hope. I did buy him a little 2 dish kitten set today so will leave kitten chow with formula in one side and just formula in the other and see if he figures it out on his own tomorrow while I'm at school. Oh yeah, another milestone, the little critter has TEETH now! LOL
He looks like he is siamese with brownish-gray markings. We'll see if he keeps them as he gets older. He still has blue eyes also. That may change, or not.

Now tell us about your new babies! So far we have five newly hatched Mallard ducklings from some eggs I got from a friends nesting Mallards and put them under a chicken hen that was sitting.
Plus my brother gave us nine wood duck eggs we put under another hen and so far four have hatched.
I still havent picked up a new German Shepard pup since my old Shepard passed on a few weeks ago.

Awwwwwwwww sorry to hear about the shepherd Jankia. It's hard to replace a pet you've lost. I was NOT looking for a new kitten, this just happened! LOL
I forgot another first. Friday night when I got home, he was so hungry and I hope happy I was home, that he managed to jump out of the bathtub that is his home for now! So far this week end he hasn't remembered how to do that though! LOL
Always, I hope to post some new pics this week. I think I got some good ones today.

I had 3 outdoor cats, all brown tabbies and related, Joe (dad), Jewel (daughter) and Jed (son). Jed has been missing for over 3 weeks now. And he was the sweetest of the bunch and of course the one who cost me the most money! I do miss him but out here in the country, no telling what happened.

Well, we have our dog Sheba. She is 13 now. And we have goldfish. (55 gallon tank....so we have a lot of fish).
New to our home (by a few months) our the two parakeets. Started out with one for my daughter. Then my 4 year old wanted one two. Sunset and lemon drop. Yup, one is blue and the other yellow. lol They are in seperate cages on top of the entertainment center. They are loud and like to spit seeds at the dog as she goes by.

Does Union count as a pet??
We've had our dogs for several years. Chippy is 4 and Crackers is 3. They can be a PIA, but we still love them. Chippy is under my feet as I type.

Just the old dog.
My old man, Jordan is a 12 year old chocolate lab.
He has started to get old. He used to jump up on my bed. Kinda glad he can't do that anymore. ...
The past couple months he has been having trouble getting up the stairs....
When I go to my room at night, he steps up one step & barks at me for a while to verify I won't be coming back down. ...
When he's sure it's really bedtime he'll huff & puff his way up.
Makes me sad to watch him age. 
Oh yeah ... Chad, the iguana, too. He's 6 1/2. He's cool.

It's official now--the kitten is a girl, which is what I've thought from the start. Tonight she's getting on my nerves! LOL Just like a little kid--I put her to bed in the bathroom, 2 min. later she's tripping down the hall toward me, happy as a clam! I've done this 3 times now! I'm about to put something in front of the door so she can't get out until morning. Be right back! LOL

I have three new kittens (small enough to fit into the palm of your hand, it looks like) from the strays in my backyard.
Sadly, my strays are down from their original 5 down to only 3 remaining. Le sigh...
Even more sad: I'll be moving soon, hopefully within the next month, so I don't know if the new owners will be feeding the strays. (I live on the edge of a "cat colony," so cats will always be a constant for the area.)
My "feral rescue" kitten still is scared of new people, but she's gotten used to me enough that she'll sometimes sit next to me...

Darn tooting she'll move with me. She's my baby. 
The one I'm worried about is the older cat. She's attached to this area, and has had one previous owner try to move her. I got her by persuading her that this is a quiet house that's still in her neighborhood. When I move, at the new place, I'll have to figure some way of putting up an "airlock" near the doors (like, two baby barriers, one above the other), so she can't run out when I'm bringing in groceries, for instance.

At least you're willing to try to work it out. That's more than many people do when they move.
Lucky was full of energy tonight. She has a dish towel that she sleeps with and tonight I was holding it up in the air and she would leap at it and grab it and fight with it! It was so funny. And she was tearing around the house. She finally fell asleep and I hope she sleeps for several hours now!  (I'm worn out from her, too!)
