There are very few things that really bother me to be called...and it really depends on WHO is doing the calling... I love being called Macsgirl ... like I said depends.. because.. sometimes Im a girl and sometimes Im a woman

I LOVE this question! It's a personal peeve of mine to be called "girl" by a man (not a BOY). I find it especially funny when reading through profiles of men, well into their 40s and above, who are looking for a "girl" who is this, and a "girl" who is that. I'd love to think that said "man" could handle a woman by this point, ya know?
This is not to say I'm not still "girly" as I don't think there is any expiration date on that title. However, any man over 28 who is still looking for a "girl" is just looking for a good time. A man who is looking for a woman...well, he generally means business and can respect you for the person you are, not the fantasy "girl" in his head.

I don't enjoy being referred to as a "girl", I haven't been one in quite some time.

And yet I have never met a woman who objected to being called "one of the girls." In fact, I have met plenty who use that phrase themselves.
Take note, my fellow men. You have just witnessed a demonstration of the defining principle of masculinity in the 21st Century: Women can do anything they want, but men have to do it right or we don't get laid.

I don't think I was ever really a 'girl'...I was all of 5 the first time I took over in a crisis. As for what anyone calls me, I don't even think twice about it...'girls' night out' is still something I enjoy a lot! If someone thinks they're belittling me by calling me a girl, I can always use a laugh!

And yet I have never met a woman who objected to being called "one of the girls." In fact, I have met plenty who use that phrase themselves.
I've never objected to being one of the girls OR one of the guys. One of our vice presidents was a copy party of an email that was addressed to 'the girls'. He thanked the sender for the compliment...no wonder he's doing so well on the corporate ladder!

Depends on who's doing the calling and the tone in which the label is applied.
I love being "babygirl" or "my girl" and I also like "my woman."
Now if there's some tension in the air, I'm gonna get my panties in a bundle if the same title is applied in a snide sneering manner. Doesn't matter who it is.
Goshdarnit, I need to stop answering these things, because again...it's a respect issue. Most women I know can tell the difference if we're being respected or not. Plain and simple.
Oh but generally speaking, I'm all woman. With girl parts.
And I like all man. With boy parts.
