I am so tired of getting emails with yahoo addresses in them. My first sentence in my profile says send that in your first email and I will just delete it! Every week I get 3 or 4 emails from men who give me their yahoo address. Why do I always get those guys and not the real men who might be interested? 
Anyone else have this problem?
I guess I could have just put this in the complaint thread but oh well...I started a new thread.

Sign, we all get them...I find I get fewer now that I'm signing in as invisible but there's no way they can be eliminated entirely - they create new profiles and start phishing with a new screen name as soon as they get blocked. I think we pretty much all delete emails with email addies in them, but another tell-tale sign is that your view count hasn't gone up, but an email was generated...kind of tells you that it's a spamifier doing it and not a 'real' person.
Just keep doing what we're all doing...mark as spam, and delete or block. Blocking removes them and prevents additional emails (sometimes their spam generators get stuck and you'll get a few of them from the same phisher).
As for the good guys...it never hurts to send the first email.

I've seen a few articles that talk of the huge cash they make from that activity, and until we find a way to make it less profitable..... they will keep it up...
I've been saving the e-mails with Yahoo addy's, and mailing those to the new spammers... it seems to satisfy me.... lol

*sigh* Yes, ma'am. I really read profiles. Sometimes (getting so it's more often than not) I wonder why I bother. But I read them.

About the only time I check a profile is to see again where they live. Sometimes that explains their attitudes......

Yes grumblebear, that is great advise. I'll use that tactic from here on out.
This makes me think of the feedback loop noise between a microphone and speaker ..... it'll keep getting louder and will eventually self destruct over a period of cycles. Maybe that will happen with the scammers too, kaboom.
They deserve each others company.

signme, I always read the profiles of everyone who e-mails me before I open their message. I read profiles of local people and profiles of extraordinary people on this website.

I read the profile before I read the email.. I am surprised at the number of men that totally forget what state they live in.. the top of their profile says they live in one state and the bottom portion states that they are looking for a woman across the country.. and then the email states a totally different state..
I just email them back and tell them if they can't remember where they live, they are too stupid for me..  then I block them

Rarely .... I'm not looking for someone right now, so there's no need to read them for that reason, and when I do its usually someone that I see regularly in the forums, or I want to check for new pics on my "Babelist" ....
