Are Men Moody?

I'm interested in a woman's perspective.
The working assumption is that generally women are moody and men are not.
I already know that women are moody. Some more than others of course, but as a rule, it's been so common in my experience that I feel comfortable making that generalization. It's only a generalization.
But as a rule, as a generalization, are men moody? And if you think they are, are they more, less, or the same level of moodiness as women?

Yes.. men can be moody.. some more so then some women. I think womens moods seem to be dominated more by hormone fluctuations whereas mens moods tend to be more affected by life circumstances, work, stress and lack of intimacy.

...Male menopause? It happens, it is real and just as a woman's estrogen levels drop and testosterone levels become more dominant, a man's testosterone levels drop and estrogen levels become more dominant. Either can easily be supplemented, but the initial hormonal imbalance is mood altering.
...Personally, I am a Gemini and they get whatever button they want to push, but with Scorpio rising, some buttons seem to work a little faster than others.

Yeah, men are moody! I've met men who are much moodier than I and those who are just as moody. I can't really comment on the hormonal differences as I know I am affected more by life circumstances, work, stress and lack of intimacy. In that way I guess men and I are moody in the same way.
To sum up: That whole thing about women being moody and men being balanced is complete horse manure.
However, women being somewhat crazy? Completely true.

Like for example, when ya dye your hair why are you always pissed off for two days afterward?
Chipping a nail, cramps, big deal, walk it off cry baby.
Now men on the other hand, who in the hell likes being bothered while siting on the john?

More men cry over a headache and then refuse to take anything for it, thinking it's not manly. Oh but the crying is. 
Stub a toe and it's oooohhh poor pitiful me! Yep, those steel-toed boots are way helpful, aren't they dear?
And get your ass off the john after 30 minutes. After that, if it hasn't come out, it ain't gonna and even if it has, you better blow up that toilet cuz I sure as heck am not going to use it!
But all the above isn't moodiness, that's just stupidity.

My dad hid his moods well, my SO's pretty good at it too. Women's moods are usually a lot more obvious and speaking for myself, normally were hormone driven. Thank you premature menopause!! It's been about 25 years of non-moodiness here.
As for mens' moods - I think I have to agree with Snappy - they seem to be far less hormone driven and far more driven by external stresses. OK, let me qualify that - any kind of issue with arousal calls all bets off. And that's arousal with a partner, as well as orgasmic completion for her, as well as his own. So I guess womens' hormones can have a pretty strong effect on men too. Gee, I wonder why women occasionally fake it?
