parents of toddlers NOT watching them and letting them run rampant in markets and restaurants ...hell parents of children period doing this 
a store running out of COKE!!! 
taking away kids sports
taking away the arts in schools
taking away the ability to discipline a child for misbehavior in school ..Im not talking about beating them.. calm down ...but not being able to make them serve detention or pick up trash or SOMETHING !!! Heck some schools dont even use writing lines anymore 
and PARENTS NOT backing up a teachers discipline when their child has crossed the line

If it makes you feel any better Becks...we are given pretty much free reign where I work. I catch you running in the halls...guess what? You get to run with me for an hour after school. That's right...through the halls.
I catch you spitting in a bubbler, on the floor, on the play-ground? You get a putty knife and for one week after school, you get to pry all the old dried out and even juicy, gooey gobs of gum off the bottom of desks.
I catch you writing on a poster someone elses art work in the hall, graffiti in the bathrooms? You go to the art room after school for a week and make Christmas and Birthday cards for the old folks home down the road.
If you choose to "run up the walls" (fairly new thing where they pick up speed going down the hall, and when they come around the corner see how far up the wall they can run) you get to work with the janitors for a week every night after school.
The punishment fits the crime and we try to do it with a large amount of humor. I have 20 year olds come up to me and tell me that running for an hour in the halls for a week was the most exhausting thing they have ever done and it curbed their desire for life. 
My favorite? Talk back to a lunch lady and you'll be washing tables in front of your friends during lunch time....with the security camera's running taping the whole thing. One parent actually purchased the tapes from us...thought it would be a hoot to show at her son's wedding that he actually was domesticated.

See THAT is what is needed.,... unfortunately where I live the teachers are AFRAID to discipline students because the parents themselves are friggin arsewipes and threaten the teachers instead of saying um yeah my Johnny is a friggin jerk... Me Myself.. um yeah Im gonna jump my kids shit and ground and punish them (chores from hell) if they screw up or disrepect a teacher.. sad thing is tho some of the teachers themselves are the reason for the infraction.. case in point ...my daughter has to wear glasses for READING nothing more.. the teacher gave her detention and a write up for NOT wearing them on the playground..  she did not contact me about it at all to see if she should be wearing them all the time ... when I asked my kid about this she said she was being singled out come to find out yeah she was (i asked a few kids in her class about it) I tried to talk to the teacher and she was so friggin obnoxious and racist I called the principle and told him I was pulling my child from her class ... he FOUND room in another class that wasnt there before  .. and now this year a friend of mines daughter is having the same problem with the same teacher.. the teacher is racist and singles out the students not of her race and gives detentions for minor things .. get this one.. The child needed to use the restroom very bad.. ti was close to break time but had been three hours in school already .. she made her wait almost a half hour and gave her a detention for asking to use it yeah my friend is talking to the principle too .. that is just wrong of the teacher to make that child suffer like that

Cripes..what a mess. I swear...it all comes down to your leader. If that person is strong, the discipline is as well.
My boss backs us 100% unless he feels we are wrong. If we are a phone call to the parents or a written letter of apology to both the child and the parents. How else will they learn if they never see an adult say they are sorry?

That the same teacher that made my friends child wait for a half hour to go to the bathroom and gave her detention because she asked to go today caused another child to soil herself in fear of asking to go to the restroom and the child had to be picked up and taken home so embarrassed I know she wont wanna come back to school .. THAT IS JUST WRONG!!!! these are not kinders or even 2nd graders they are 5th graders she is causing to soil themselves
she is using the schools policy of three detentions and they cannot go on the end of year trip against them to the EXTREME .. most of the kids in the class are not going since after only a little over a week in school they almost all have detentions some up to 12!!! but not those of her race and these detentions are for infractions like asking to use the restroom after being in class for three hours I know my friend is now gathering parents to do SOMETHING about this woman she is outta control the kids are terrified of her ...
A teacher pulling this crap needs to be GONE!!! terror tactics like this are JUST WRONG!!!
