Ok, lots of us have trouble doing things on our own. When you have children, that is a fantastic motivator. Many of us DON'T have kids or people in real life to encourage us to do better or nag us (nicely but firmly) to do better.

This is the thread to ask for a nag or reminder or just emotional support, maybe affirmations to get our minds going in a better place.

I need to be nagged, myself and encouraged. My particular personality type tends to get off track and does not complete things well. I am asking for people to encourage me to learn my graphic's pad and to work out 300 minutes a week. Safari is helping me starting today. And doing a damned good job at it too.

Turning the music on now, Safari. I aim to get 28 minutes of dancing done tonight before bed time.

Report back what we did get done.

I'm about to get my 28 minutes of dancing in too.......I'm going outside to walk my 2 greyhounds for the night. They take freakin' forever at their nightime walks.

First they have to sniff every damn piece of grass to make sure it hasn't been used before.

Next, they have to find that special place to take a dump! It can't be too close to anyone elses, nor can it be all in one pile. They must take baby steps forward so that it spreads at least 6 ft. (makes it so much easier for "mommy" to have to scoop up in the pooper scooper every couple of days).

Then, they have to stand perfectly still and stare up into my woods for at least 5 minutes....afterall, they are sighthounds! Geesh.

Finally, they are ready to get back in the house, after sniffing every leaf that has fallen on the ground (might have landed on a forgotton doggie biscuit). And when they're ready, they're ready! They bolt for the front door, dragging my butt behind them because I'm the one holding the leash, and shaking the night dew off their little footsies as they go!

Ok, here I go.......excercise time.....

Gnite, Red. Katy, try challenging people. What may work for you is challenge their abilities. Tell them to PROVE it to you. That really works for some.

I hear ya on that one, Lori. I did get an hour of exercise in today making it 208 minutes of exercise so far this week. Also got one ring made and cleaned up some blocks to mosaic but then researched how to use my program so I can make some patterns for the stones to mosaic. *sigh*

well, spirit...I ain't really saying, but it right before bedtime probably isn't the best time to excercise, or dance. it gets yer heart and things pumping and gives ya that high that might interfer with sleep because your body is now worked up. I have read that advisement in other places, and it pretty much affected me that way if I ever excersied too late at night...just a thought, hey

Not for me, Chubs but I am backwards from many people. I tend to exercise to relax me. I can drop my heart beat REAL fast. That zen crap that goes along with my healing stuff.

For every hour in front of the computer doing non-work related stuff...you have to pump out a mile.

You will figure out right away if it is worth it to you...or if you are just using playing online to procrastinate.

I don't care how old you get...your psyche understand punishment to stupid actions.

Use it.

Then why do I hear so much about guys who are asleep 6 seconds after having sex?
