sore joints, health problems, memory loss, hearing loss, vision loss...and the ability to walk up straigh-at times...
well i am finding out just how old i am...to most of the above, yep...i can say i have had problems with. i can remember hearing my parents complain about 'getting old' when i was YOUNG, now that i am older and they are STILL around, you can imagine all the complaining they do now!! but...i'm right along side them complaining...lol
i know you have all probably heard those commercials for people with hearing loss- "Do you find yourself struggling to make out what people are saying when they talk to you? Do people ask you to turn down the volume of your TV? If so, YOU may have a hearing problem."
well for quite some time...my kids would always tell me that the volume on the TV was so loud they could hear it outside-2 blocks away! i never really took them seriously. i have always had ear problems growing up-ear infections constantly so i had a little hearing loss to begin with...but i finally decided to go in to have my hearing checked-this was a few months ago. come to find out...lol, i've lost 70% of my hearing...but it was also bi-lateral-meaning equal loss in both ears. i was a perfect canidate for hearing aids....yeah..ME! OMG....all i pictured were those great big PLUGS..like my DAD has!! i was able to 'test' a few out...finding the right ones is really hard, but i have to admit they have made a world of difference!!
now...my kids can't talk behind my back and get away with it anymore...hehehehe

the priviledge of getting away with saying things really off-the-wall or telling it like it is....  (the kids are already saying how I'm getting "just like" my dad, which I consider the greatest compliment they could ever give me  )

at 50 came diabetes.. 53 my wedding day.. and my first real wedding.. * 3rd marriage and last.. my wonderful hubby that spoils me .. extreme shoulder pain and arthritus even after 2 carpal tunnel surgeries.. but im ok.. just keep the naproxen handy..... sweet N L
