Avast ye mateys, these be some o' th' forum rules in pirate-speak:
Thank ye fer bein' a valued member o' th' Matchdoctor community. Before ye post on our forums, please take a moment t' read th' rules below. These rules ben established so that sea dogs an' land lubbers can be havin' a fun an' safe experience. If ye noticed that one o' yer threads or posts be deleted, thar be a good chance that 't violated one or more o' th' rules below.
1) Do a search t' make sure yer topic hasn't been discussed already. Try usin' one or two keywords t' be seein' if a thread already exists on th' topic ye wish t' discuss. Duplicate/redundant threads be deleted.
2) Yer topic must be havin' a clear subject, so that a reader will know what yer thread be about. Please use keywords in yer subjects that will allow other users t' search fer yer topic easily. Subjects such as:
"Why do lasses..." or...
"Ever' time a man..."
be nay good subjects. Thread subjects that do nay clearly state th' topic o' yer thread be deleted.
3) Give a good idee o' what yer post be about. Try t' be specific an' detailed as possible in yer post. Threads that be obscure, do nay be havin' a specific topic, an' do nay contain enough information fer readers t' respond be deleted.
4) DO NAY POST IN ALL CAPS or use excessive punctuation. Posts that be in all caps be subject t' deletion.

6) Do nay broadcast yersef! This means do nay create new threads or post messages t' promote yersef an'/or t' be havin' someone(s) contact ye. Threads/posts such as:
"Be I too ugly?" or...
"Why won't lasses date me?" or...
"Ahoy, ye're cute, let's talk!"
Often these threads/posts be used solely fer th' purpose t' draw attention t' they's self an'/or t' draw a certain reaction from other members. These sort o' threads an' posts be deleted.
7) Nay threads designated exclusively fer response from a specific squadron, gender, ethnicity, orientation, religion, etc.. Th' whole idee o' a forum be fer ere t' post the'r opinions an' thoughts, provided that they be on topic, on any threads they be seein' fit.
8) Do nay make 2 or more posts in a row (a.k.a sequential replies, flooding). If ye forgot somethin' in yer reply, please edit yer previous post instead o' addin' another post. Sequential replies be subject t' deletion. Allow others time t' respond t' ye. Ye can respond t' multiple swabbies in one post by usin' th' quote feature.

10) Fer yer safety, do nay post any swabbieal contact information or private e-mail messages. T' mail one-on-one wi' another member, please use th' send mail button on that member's profile.
11) Nay "forum spam", solicitin' o' any kind fer websites, products or services, or directin' swabbies t' other websites.

12) Nay threads or posts fer th' purpose o' chattin' be permitted on th' forums. All threads must be havin' a specific topic an' all posts in a thread need t' be related t' that topic. Please use th' mail icon on th' poster's profile t' send them a swabbieal message.
13) Nay explicit, sexual, offensive, insultin' or vulgar language. Treat others wi' respect.
14) Nay derogatory or offensive references t' sex, gender, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.

16) Do nay post messages that violate Federal, State/Provincial, or local laws which include, but be nay limited t', anythin' that violates a Copystarboard, Trademark, Patent, Trade Secret, or be bound by NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement).

18) Do nay promote or provide instructional information about illegal activities or promote physical harm or injury against any squadron or swabbie; or transmit any viruses, worms, defects, Trojan horses, or any items o' a destructive nature.
19) Dasn't bash this site or th' moderators here. This be a free site. If ye dasn't like th' way things be handled, ye can kindly make us aware o' yer problem, or ye be free t' leave.
20) By postin' in th' forums, ye agree t' abide by all these rules. Matchdoctor.com occasionally monitors th' forums an' be nay responsible fer what a user chooses t' disclose.

22) If rules be nay followed or complaints be received, yer posts an'/or profile may be deleted. [an' ye may hafta walk th' plank!]
23) Content posted in forums becomes th' property o' Matchdoctor.com.
24) Report forum offenders in th' "Report forum troll/abuse." thread located in th' suggestions/help forum.
25) All posts must be in English, posts in other languages be deleted.
