<~~~doesn't want any dead deer pictures from LJ sent to her phone this year. 
But I will say, at least hunting with a bow makes it more fair for the animal.

The news had a blurb tonight about a cat that survived an arrow through its head. I nearly threw up every time they showed the picture! Be careful where you aim, LJ, please.

I have an arrow stuck in my garage wall right now. Had the target next to it, and the arrow went about halfway through a wooden wall. It is in there so far that I cant budge it. haha
The one thing I am afraid of is shooting a deer in the leg or somewhere that wont kill it. I would hate to ruin a good deer that I could kill later with my rifle. Its hard with a bow though....hey, that rhymes. You have to measure distance in your head and account for wind. I have decided that I wont shoot at a deer unless it is within 20 to 25 yards.
Now a hog is a different story. Let one of those things pop out and I will shoot at it no matter what! Im gonna kill something with this thing soon.

Good luck and be careful where you aim it...! My cousins never used guns for hunting, only bows and arrows...they used to do pretty well at it too, in their day, but we're all old fogies now.

I walked up on two nice doe yesterday evening on a fence line. They were about 80 yards away and never noticed me.
Couldnt get close enough to get a shot with my bow (Im only lethal from within 40 yards now), but if that happens next month (during rifle season) they are deader'n hell.
