Maybe it is my age Most likly and you have the time to spell it all out.
the whole point, to me about using text is short sweet and fast.
If i wanted to spend my time getting everything right, I would just call. Its quicker to just say then typing it all out.

Anyway the excerpt was not about the abbreviated text. I think abbreviations are good. I agree with Burns It really saves time

From what I have read in your posts thus far, your English skills exceed those of many who speak it as their native language. Are certain idioms going to be lost in translation? Almost certainly that will be the case, but I like the way you write. You, I can understand. Others.......

Heck no. It's why I hate to text. I will send out the full word and I don't care if it breaks the message in two. I guess that's why they have that unlimited text plan. Then again if I'm going to spend that much time texting someone, I'd rather just call them.

You got admonished? I have feeling it was due to using such words that required such folks to look up what a dictionary is.
I do occasionally get the odd email, not nearly as often as I used to, although what you just received just took the cake.

Just don't understand why people do abbreviate (unless its a long text) after all cell phones have auto wordcompletion, so there really is no excuses not to.
Merchi at least you think they will look up what dictionary means, with some of them when facing difficult words their braincell will blank out lol.
Some of the mails that are sent by scammers are so stupid/weird that it makes a bot look intelligent LOL
