If so,why? Not talking about remembering places from past lives...lol. Do you know that deja vous is actually when the 2 halves of the brain are out of sync for a moment, aand one sides is perceiving, thinking at a slower,or faster rate than the other? It happens, read about it in a book, not to get off topic!

Yes, I do believe in reincarnation, and I think we're given a choice in the matter. But if you ask me why I believe this...don't know. Just a feeling I have! I certainly wouldn't argue it, because I could be wrong. Only one way to find out, and I'm not planning on going there any time soon

I believe in some form of it. I'm still on my path and I haven't set my thoughts in stone yet. I believe belief systems should be dynamic.

Everything you think say or do, is done by electricity, and that, is energy! And you cannot destroy energy. It can be changed into heat etc but it will always be hear long after we are dead. So god or not, a part of us will live on to become something else!

I'm with Pete on dynamic belief systems, and with Devon on the rest...I think the theory that we're all immortal flickers of energy that have chosen to materialize for an infinitesimal slice of time in order to experience physicality makes as much sense as anything else I've heard, which would fit with reincarnation. I really do think we create our own reality, including the universe we're living in, or at least I do today. I guess I just love to speculate...

When my son was four, I asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up. He said a farmer like he was last time. I said, what do you mean like you were last time? he said, you know, like I was last time I was alive. I was so stunned, I didn't carry the conversation any further.
When I was very young, I used to have this reoccuring dream about standing on a corner, beside a drug store, I was in my 20's. It was raining and I was waiting on a ride. A car pulled up to the corner, the window came down and someone shot me.
I think that even before I heard of reincarnation, I knew that some of us take more than one lap around the block.
One common argument agaisnt reincarnation is "if everyone is reincarnated, why is it that there are more people now than there were 100 or 1000 yrs ago. Thats because the starting point, or "home" is not the beginning of time, its the end of time. and only the truly adventerous travel far from home, or back towards the beginning of time.
ahh, opps, sorry, I got carried away

So how about the concepts of memory pools or cellular/molecular memory? Has anyone investigated those ideas within themselves?

Pete, how could I not include you in a comment about creating your own reality??? You do it so very well!!
As for memory pools, that's been an idea that's fascinated me for a long time, and I'll bet Dr. D's been there a time or two as well. How do we pull things 'out of our asses' that we couldn't possibly know? It happens all the time, and I think to most of us. It's not just deja vu, it's the "ah ha" thing too. Sometimes it's knowing what you're going to find before you get there, or what someone will look like before you see them, or just knowing anything with no basis other than the fact that you know it's true. The woo woo, as Maruli calls it, but it also fits with the 'elegant theory'...the one that just feels right because it answers all the questions without feeling that you have to stretch your credulity to accept the answers.

I have always had a vivid memory of drowning in a pool near the beach. I was a young child, maybe 3 or 4, and it was a really nice pool--not one of these concrete-and-rebar jobs, but stone. The sky was cloudless and beautiful from below the water's surface. I remember wondering why no one came to help me. I wasn't scared at all. It seemed kinda peaceful. I hope it's peaceful next time I die.
Even when I was a youngun I asked my parents several times about the time I drowned in Sarasota (I guessed Sarasota because it was the only nice place with a beach I had visited so far). They had no idea what the hell I was talking about.
Still I believe in reincarnation. I was brought up to believe that I would go live with either Jesus or Satan , depending on how I lived my life. Somewhere along the line I learned to experience the beauty of the universe, and realized that life is much bigger than--and really independent of--the bodies we're given. Life just is.

Yes I do and I do have memories of past lives.
Also, as a very small child I remember having a knowing and a sensing of this.
I was quite clear about where I had just come from.
At that time I was 3 or 4 years old.

I do believe in reincarnation and have memories of several previous lives. I have also been privileged to share the knowing of some lives with the key people from them.
As for deja vu, I'm not sure I can buy into the theory you propose, soultry, simply because I always remember the dreams of the events that take place later (often years later).

I believe that when people die they are again reborn as babies to live life over once more. I think this continues to go on until all lessons are learned and the person overcomes his or her obsticles.
