We become what we think about most - Earl Nightingale

Think about it. Your thoughts are always with you. And, they tend to play themselves over and over again in your head. They either support you to think about and take positive action or the opposite. Your thoughts either criticize or they support the accomplishment of your goals.

Negative thoughts are overwhelming and they can take control of your mind for days. But, how to get even, how to replay or recast a situation that has already occurred, or how to make excuses or blame others is not powerful thinking. Gently – don’t beat yourself up – redirect your thinking to thoughts that will support your success and happiness. Laugh, if you can, when you think about the time you spent obsessing over matters that are over and completed. Move on.

When your thoughts are negative or unsupportive of your happiness and success, you have to change your thinking.

well, good for u, tinka tinka doo. admittedly, sometimes not-so-good thoughts get the best of me. i turn to my trusty journal and vent the rage! then i have positively happy thoughts that my journal will be a movie with grace jones as the heroine and pete as the long suffering man who can't get enough of her abuse.

"Thoughts become things....choose the good ones..."

We create our own reality...

"Now picture this: a being so alive that their vibrations heighten all of their senses. Their energy effortlessly summoning circumstances, gathering friends, and blasting limits. Falling so in love with the adventure of life that, like a child on a play-ground, they can't help but stretch, reach, and rediscover all of their capabilities. Wanting to be involved in every “game”. Yearning to spring from bed each morning to greet the day. Dipping their toes in every pool, stream, and ocean, simply because they can.

Understanding the power of thought, and then sailing out into the world to avail themselves of its magic. Knocking on every door and turning over every stone to facilitate the swift manifestation of their dreams.

I'm at the point of really shooting the wonderful new pet we have on here. I think if I had some buckshot I could get that darn bird! Those are my thoughts at this moment...

I reread Vonneguts "Galapagos" last week and I'm thinking he's right. Our big brains are out to kill us all.

I agree Lecri, we are what we think. We wear our attitudes.

I would like to take it a step further. The positive, or negative, energies we have created through our thought processes, can also be contagious. How many times have we been in the company of someone on a total downer, and our entire mood has changed to one of depression?

Not only that, it appears to me, there is an energy field that knows no distance barrier. It can travel through walls, mountains, water, etc., and can change the moods of person's clear around the globe. You don't have to be face-to-face to catch the virus (so to speak).

As an example:

I see it happen here at the forums. One day, everyone is totally up. The mood is pleasant. Everyone is happy and we all seem to be in sync.

The next day, it is wild and chaotic. The mood has changed to one of irritability, etc.

I wonder what would happen if we ALL decided to think of only positive things for the next--say--twelve hours. I would be curious to see if it had any bearing on the atmosphere here tomorrow.

Well, since studies show that men think about sex once every 5 minutes, what does that make us?

Sex starved puppies?

Nice pic waiting... and believe it or not, yes it is that simple for a great many people. Bitter people will be surrounded by bitterness, positive people will be surrounded with love. A change in attitude or way of thinking can change your whole life.
