Back in 1966-67 the good people of Point Pleasant,West Virginia were terrorized by "mothmen".Grey winged creatures about 7 feet tall with 10 foot wing spans and large red eyes that left actinic burns on the eyes of the unfortunate people who looked at them directly. The small town was plunged into a twilight zone on weirdness which involved UFO's,Men in Black, electrical phenomenon and cattle mutilations just to mention a few things. There is also Chupacabra,Sasquatch and the Yeti. The study of such beasts is known as cryptozoology, yet there are those from the Fortean school (named after Charles Fort)who claim that these creatures are more interdimensional and part of the planet's makeup, though not belonging to the animal world as we know it.Opinions please.

I think the people in Point Pleasant made a bad batch of
moonshine. In that era it could have been the LSD also....

While turkey hunting this past spring I did run across what for this area was a strange creature, an armadillo , or rather his remains.
How the heck the little fella ever found his way into the woods of Iowa will forever be a mystery.

UFOs, Bigfoot, mutilated animals and poltergeists. Some call the place Skinwalker Ranch,
http://www.klas-tv.com/Global/story.asp?S=4275629
or google "skinwalker ranch"
some really bizzare animals around that place. Though I suppose I would believe it more it they weren't promoting a book about it.

Although I've never come across any strange creatures........it's kinda funny how they have great instincts to stay away from modern man.
Modern man seems to think we can "change" things to make it better. Some things need to be left alone...just like Mother Nature intended. You mess with them...you have the potential to spread diseases of the unknown.....ever wonder where AIDS or Ebola virus came from??? Like I tell my daughter....if it's strange...DON'T TOUCH IT!!!
Ooops....sorry, I kinda got sidetracked on "Strange"...lol

Absolutely correct! Bigfoot is a great example. Why do you think no one has ever actually found evidence of their existence? They are multidemensional. They can "feel" it when someone looks at them. They can change their core vibration to become invisable to us. Their purpose is to provide a gene pool in case humans destroy themselves as they have done, so many times, on this planet & others. Know this - There 2 main paths in life. 1- service to others. On this path it is relatively easy to ascend to a higher vibratory plane. You only have to devote 50.1% of your energy to helping others. 2- service to self, this path is much more difficult. You must dedicate 99% of your energy to ascend on that path.

I'm no math wizard, but 50.1 + 99 = 149.1%.
MAN that's a lot of excess energy!
Well, that leaves me out in the cold. I never had fantasies about mating with a hairy ol' BigFoot anyway, no matter which dimensional plane he's hiding in.
They can change their core vibration to become invisable to us.
Hmmm, just like electricians and plumbers in this li'l town

Armadillos have been found as far north as Nebraska and Iowa since at least 2000. Just another of the quirks associated with global warming.

I'd never been scared in my life until this happened one night.
I was sitting on the fishing pier at my family's place in Fort Morgan, Alabama. It was a little after midnight. There was no wind, no moon. It was dark and peaceful.
All of the sudden, there was a splash beneath the pavilion. I got up, walked to the edge and saw a vague shape in the water below. It was HUGE--at least 8' long and about 4' wide. It was gliding through the water, near the surface.
It broke the surface just as it came out from underneath me. Whatever it was croaked as it came up, as if it was telling me it knew I was there and it wasn't even the least bit scared of me. I've seen alligators in this water, but they're very shy and avoid human contact. I've also seen an occasional manatee, and they too avoid us. But this thing wasn't worried about me at all.
I don't know what the hell it was, but I don't go in that water at night anymore. We used to go softshell crabbing and floundering all the time at night. Not now...

Sure they do, but you have to hold them underwater for a long, LONG time.
By the way, you forgot to mention the "Corn Pygmies".
As for those who believe in chupacabra, all I have to say is, "Chupa, Cabron!"

Thats why I shuddered when I knew we would be going through Nebraska on the way out here. Thank goodness, it was spring and the corn was just in the ground!!!!!
