I generally avoid religious and political issues here at matchdoc but I'm a bit curious about what others envision Heaven to be.
In my view heaven is a place of infinite combined possibilities where each of us lives eternally in our own blissfull reality.
Personally I can do without hanging out on clouds listening to harp music.

i believe the same..we will all have jobs to do..which we love and will be using our best talents..i like to think of heaven as being like here on earth, except no sin, so we will be happy, loving, and always ready to celebrate .

I always wonder about past loves. Will they be combined as one or will they find thier true match in heaven and we'll all be OK with it. I wonder because Ive got two deceased girlfriends and I'd hate to have them fighting.

lol..
a minister told me once that in heaven there are no marriages, we love everyone the same..it is the purest kind of love without strings attached.
i have always wondered about the marriages here on earth, which one would be my hubby in heaven..thank goodness it looks like neither one..lol

Heaven to me is union with the Divine, with Love, that is, God.
Therefore, heaven is or can be right here on earth.
After "death", heaven is our Souls' merging back into the Soul of God. Heaven is union with the One Soul, that is Love, the source of all creation and life.
This is a state in which our consciousness only knows being, and within this state of being, knowing only Love.
We are in a state of being fully aware of our own true nature.
We are at peace.

If you've ever seen the Robin Williams movie "What dreams may come" I liked that vision of heaven. His loved ones didn't always look like the loved ones he knew but he still knew them as his loved ones. Kind of confusing but I liked it.

This is heaven Sponge
They get on swim suits and jello wrestle.
One uses an awesume flying head scissors and comes out the clear victor.
But they agree to share you.

You're welcome Waiting

Heaven is having been given every opportunity I have thus been given to love and serve others. This is my delight.
And so, within my Soul my cup runneth over, my cup runneth over.........

Since you are asking this question, you might want to go to the 'Quizzes' forum and take the test I just bumped to the top.
I took the test but I'm not sure I can decipher the answers.
At this point I'm liking RAKS version of heaven.

Love when I had it.
Being there at my childrens birth.
Taking their training wheels off
Bug hunting and playing with Barbies.
Helping him pick clothes for his first formal dance
The ice on trees in winter
The feel of ocean salt dried on my skin
All those great pets; past and present
Pretty damn good
I'll just have another turn

One of my favorite stories about heaven and hell revolved around two rooms. In each of the rooms a bunch of people were shackled together, sitting at a round table covered with food. In one room, they were each trying to get the food into their mouths, but couldn't quite reach, so they were fighting and starving even though there was plenty of food available. In the other room, they were each feeding each other, so they were comfortably enjoying the meal and conversation. The difference between heaven and hell on earth has a lot to do with our attitudes. Somehow I think that if there is an afterlife, that will still be true.

I think the closest I came to feeling like heaven was holding my newborn for the first time and the feeling of completeness and innocence I held in my arms.
Sponge....in the movie "What dreams may come" was so awesome.......
My version of heaven came from a dream after my father died. It was the first Christmas everyone came home after he passed away. I think it was about 3 years after he did.....I was dreaming that all of us were sitting....in heaven on a marble semi-circle seating area....it was very "cloudy"..."foggy" kinda. Then my father came out of nowhere...like all of a sudden he appeared. He looked directly at me and hugged me and told me "Thank You for bringing everyone home"........when I woke up it was so comforting to me and I told my siblings of my dream.
Heaven is out there.....somewhere in infinity....another dimension.......anyone who has come close to it will share the feeling of ultimate peace....that is what heaven is to me.

My idea of Heaven would be a body that knows no bounds allowed to run free to explore every nook and cranny of the universe.
To think of the awsome sights one would behold is beyond imagination.
The discoveries would be literally endless.

I'm not sure about my ideas of heaven and hell. I do, however, believe in a higher being. And I really do hope there's something wonderful after this.
Hell? Sometimes I wonder if it wasn't just made up to try to keep us all in line.
But for now. . .I'd settle for a warm summer's evening, gentle breeze blowing, the scent of flowers in the air. Sitting on my front porch in the glider swing, a couple candles burning, cuddled up with a wonderful man.
Yeh. . .that'd be a little piece of heaven. . .
