Reid has attached his Illegal Alien Amnesty Bill "The Dream Act" onto the Defense Budgeting Bill, so that to vote against Amnesty for Illegal Aliens in this country, is also to vote against funding our military and our troops in wartime!

When is this pathetic weasel going to stop doing everything under the table and by slight of hand?? He really believes that is just how its done in politics! No wonder Nevada wants to railroad him out of town in a hurry! But that's later, this is now.

This is being debated in Congress this very morning. It needs major protest to Congress by US Citizens, indicating the outrage we naturally feel about this. Obviously they only hope to gain millions of new, illegal citizens to vote for them, so yours and mine don't count in November!

Please call your Senators and Representatives in Congress and vigorously protest this Bill, along with Reid's unsavory, dishonest practices. Otherwise, this is likely to pass!! You can make a difference!

Here's some summary information about the probabilities of this Bill passing as part of the Defense Funding Bill. You should be able to find out where your own representatives stand on this issue. If you oppose this action, this is the time to speak up. Or they'll slip it through quietly as designed by Reid. After all, who wouldn't want to fund our military overseas? As though that has anything to do with Illegal Immigration Amnesty!

“This is rank politics,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who has previously been an ally to Democrats on immigration reform. “There’s no way I’m going to vote for the DREAM Act in isolation on the defense bill. And if they think I’m the problem, they’re wrong. I will support good, comprehensive immigration reform, but not like this.”

Summary information on this Bill as attached to the Defense Budget

...The entrenched asswipes I have are sleeping with Reid, Obama and clan.

...But, I can see how this could cost Reid his Senate seat.

But they still likely bend under great constituent pressure. If there's no pressure its almost a certainty they won't oppose the mainstream.

However, while I haven't heard any results yet. I suspect that Bill was thrown out today. Or I certainly hope so. It was just slippery, corrupt, and deceptive, and all of Congress knows that. So it would be hard to get behind something as shady as that, and not expect to pay the price for doing so.

Yes the Defense Spending bill ($726 billion) "package", which also contains a repeal for the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" law, "The Dream Act", and abortion provisions (appropriation bills), did not pass in the Senate; 56-43 vote and needs 60 votes to pass.

The Defense Spending bill also contains a $485 million for a fighter jet engine, which the Pentagon has stated the U.S. does not need and Obama does not support.

The Defense expenditures will not come to a hault without this package passing. Congress can work off the $636 billion budget priorities as a "Continuing Resolution " when the fiscal year begins on Oct. 1st. They have been doing this for the past consecutive 12 cycles.

The Dream Act also known politically as the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act of 2009 (S.729) can pass by itself. It's been sitting in the Judiciary Committee for the on going deliberations that's been taking place since March 26, 2009.

Here's some basic information on the Dream Act:

The Dream Act passing would be just the ticket for Reid to gain Latino voters.

DREAM Act
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaJump to: navigation, search
The Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act (The "DREAM Act") is a piece of proposed federal legislation in the United States that was first introduced in the United States Senate on August 1, 2001[1] and most recently re-introduced there and the United States House of Representatives on March 26, 2009. This bill would provide certain inadmissible or deportable alien students who graduate from US high schools, who are of good moral character, arrived in the U.S. as minors, and have been in the country continuously for at least five years prior to the bill's enactment, the opportunity to earn conditional permanent residency. The alien students would obtain temporary residency for a six year period. Within the six year period, a qualified student must have "acquired a degree from an institution of higher education in the United States or [have] completed at least 2 years, in good standing, in a program for a bachelor's degree or higher degree in the United States," or have "served in the uniformed services for at least 2 years and, if discharged, [have] received an honorable discharge."[2] "Any alien whose permanent resident status is terminated [according to the terms of the Act] shall return to the immigration

The United States military faced challenges in enlistment, which in 2005 were described as a "crisis" by some.[8] Immigrants who do not have a "green card" are not allowed to enlist. Several senior officials at the Department of Defense have spoken in favor of promising legal status to members of the military as a means of boosting recruitment.[9] ..^ http://online.wsj.com/article/SB119034142441734839.html?mod=googlenews_wsj Wall Street Journal "Bill Offers U.S. Citizenship for Military Service"

...Total BS... Try doing some research yourself... and not from 2005.

...This is 2010 and the military is not having any difficulty in filling slots, which is because of an economy that is not producing any jobs for new graduates.

...And the only "military powers" that agree with gays in the military, are the appointees, or those wanting to be an appointee by this Obama administration. "Generals" are all politicians, while DOD "senior officials" are most likely civilians.

Don't be envious.. It only makes you look bad.

There are quite a few of us who at least are not ashamed to show our picture. But we do understand.. If yours is that gnarly, you probably shouldn't.

Yes, head on back over to Wiki and see if you can find the right Dream Act. The one tacked onto the Defense Budget, in 2010 by Harry Reid.

Seems you want to have those overseas defending you to not even be Americans eh? That would be really effective! A military composed of illegal aliens.

We can't expect you to understand of course. But that was being done purely for political reasons. Reid is trying to buy votes with special favors... He's been reading the handwriting on the wall. And that's why it was voted down. Get it?

Poor Harry Reid has got to be crying in his beer right about now.

Not only did he not get his amnesty bill passed as part of the Defense Funding Bill, but li'l ole Sharron Angle is once again ahead of him in the Nevada polls!

Any predictions for what Harry may do, once exiled to the Congressional boneyard?

...Live off his pension that you and I will continue to pay for. I believe it will be a bit of a shock in adjusting to not having all the perks of an entrenched politician. He will soon find out he just thought he had friends in high places... as the bus is heading his way.

...I can only hope that he has to endure Medicare, for which he has done so much to minimize for the old folks.

...Everything about this administration, from the campaign forward, has been plagiarized from the past.

...Reid did not think this up on his own, but rather the Executive branch continues to Legislate as it has for quite some time.
