Here's two in one!
Randy Rhodes
Angus Young
The best for last
These are my favorite rock guitarists.
I would have put Hendrix in, but I see he got honorable mention a few times already.

Definitely in my personal top 5
A shy lad just starting out
With the Yardbirds
The beginning of one of Rock & Roll's most enduring phenomenons
Kickin' it into high gear
Cruisin' in over-drive
Getting off the highway and taking the scenic route
.....Thank You Mr. Page

Not a solo in this song, but I would give it high marks in chordal structure and creative songwriting.

I don't think the song was ruined. It's just a new twist but the original is as pure as the driven snow for purists to enjoy. I like that other genres see the value in the old-school rock and roll tradition and have embraced it as something they want to be a part of.
I think it started right around This time.
Actually, it might have "started" Here
This is FUnny!

I'm giving props to the guitar player of one of my all time faves..Motley Crue's Mick Mars. This man has played a mean guitar even while he suffers from a condition called ankylosing spondylitis
Ankylosing spondylitis
Now that is some true dedication to his love of the guitar and of the music and fans.

I do know how you feel dude--I felt the same initially but then saw it as a way of expanding on a great piece of music and one that will live on as the next generation of musicians hold center court.
Look at it like this. Led Zepplin did a lot to keep This man's music alive. As well as many other White Brits.
and just look at how This song is being Gang Tackled by some of the best.

I love alot of blues..also Rockers in my OP..SRV,Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker etc..Robert Johnson had no idea his music would live on..and the whole deal about the ''crossroads'' lead to his credence if it was true or not..
Rock..came from the blues..no doubt.
Kenny Wayne Sheppard when I seen him wailed ! While Dereck Trucks Band playing his slide guitar was so boring..never moved ..never seen him look at the crowd..no energy and it reflected. Attitude goes a long way.
