If you were to run for Presidency, what would be your campaign slogan and also what would you do to make our country better, stronger and stay powerful as a nation?
What changes would you make and why?
Also feel free to deliberate on a debate of our current President.

I want to push for legislation that does away with stupid lawsuits. Cases will be heard on merit rather than how much money an attorney thinks he can make.

some changes that i would bring into legislation if elected as president: the end of a tax code that no one can even understand(including the writers of the code), the end of oil and gas being traded like stock just so brokerages can get richer while the working class gets screwed at the pumps, limits on foreign aid, better trade relations with canada but not mexico, removal of favored trade status between the country and china, the withdrawl from the middle east, never interfering with the israeli/palestinian "peace" talks, limits on lobbist contributions, fair wages for fair work, standardized testing for teachers....i'll continue later

...ending the stop-gap in the military, choosing a cabinet based on job qualifications not on race or gender quotas, closing overseas military bases and building new bases in our own country, equiping the military with at minimum the quality of body armor and weapon that any street criminal could purchase, making english the official language, setting a deadline for all welfare recipients to find work or lose benefits...more later

How about pushing for legislation that does away with most of our existing legislation that's allowing these stupid lawsuits!! Damn, I am just SO tired of everyone feeling they need to be protected from everything and bear no responsibility for exercising a little common sense occasionally. Why should anyone bother using the brains they were born with if they can make money by being stupid?

since most of these lawsuits never get past the state courts anyhoo, it would be up to the individual states to make limits. these limits would have to fair and just, and not favoring any certain industry(i.e. the insurance industry)

Hey Exiled,
Are you running as republican democrat or independent?
<-----Self proclaimed campaign manager needs to know. Because if you are running for the people (Dem) we can get money from the unions.
But if you are running for big business (Rep) we can get money from big oil, energy companies, and ins companies.
Now if you are running independent I quit cause we gone be broke.
LOL........
I'm sitting here joking around but as sad as it is, it's true !

if i run independent, i would be endorsing the independent party. i am against any party affiliation for a true government by the people and for the people so i would run with no party affiliation.
anyone can donate money(I AM NOT RUNNING, at least not any time soon, SO DO NOT SEND MONEY OR TAKE THIS MESSAGE AS A PLEA FOR CONTRIBUTIONS OR SEND MONEY TO ANYONE) but will have to realize that they are not buying favor.

Well, I'd NEVER want to be president, but that said, I think a requirement for office should be that the person wants no part of the job. I've nominated Greystone for president before, but then he wouldn't have time to play on MD, same with Pete, both would be good choices. But to paraphrase Waiting...this should NOT be allowed. But if one of them was elected, anyone trying to assassinate either, which would be highly likely because they might make headway in cleaning up the mess we're in, would have to come thru ME first!

... legalizing marriages to whoever wants them with a three day waiting period, limiting electronic easedropping by the government and civilians, making an escape plan regarding social security, keeping abortion a choice, protecting the bill of rights, helping the country elect other officials to replace the mess that is congress...

Here is my silver bullet cure for just about everything that's wrong with this country:
Allow 25% of the voters to repeal ANY law. The liberals would get rid of the conservative BS laws and the conservatives would get rid of the liberal BS laws. What laws remain would be, by definition, acceptable to at least 75% of the people.

the law should not be revoked by a minority vote by the public. do you realize that all drug laws and all alcohol related laws would be nullified. this is a really bad idea.
now raising the minimum military enlistment age to 21- a decent idea.
