I sure need your support and help on your ideas. My town has increased in the gang activity. A handful of illegal imagrants from Los Angeles have rapidly evolved into a brutal gang that has been currently spreading like a forest fire. The town has just elected our new Mayor, Pat Morris and more law enforcement has been hired to slam down on them hard.
Recently a young girl at her home was killed by rapid gun fire that that spewed bullets throught the house walls and killed her. She was 11 years old. The whole sheriff committee and local authorites are banging their heads on how to end it now! A new prison facility has just been opened to house some of them. It holds 750 members.
They are asking for citizens help in what can be done to stop these gangs and make our town and surrounding towns safe for our kids, elderly and other law abiding citizens.
As I see our town grown in wonderful areas of art, education, community housing development, etc. It makes me angry that these degenarates go around killing innocent citizens.
Any serious contribution on your ideas and thoughts on this thread will be so appreciated.

Buy a truckload of beer.
Get 1 platoon of US Paratroopers and 1 platoon of US Marines.
Tell them whichever unit brings in the most gang members - Dead or Alive - gets the beer.
Problem solved.
(But, have another truckload for the other unit too. They are both Winners.)

Target your politicians for removal if they don't push control and enforcement of our immigration laws and make sure they know there's an electoral bullseye on their backs. I don't care what party the politician is, both parties are worthless on this issue.
Some of the central and south American gangs are just as dangerous as Al Qeada. MS13 is known for leaving busloads of dead bodies as warnings to politicians in that part of the world.

Thats what they are Sponge, the MS-13. I just wrote to the Mayor. I suggested him to also contact Bush on a force draft of these degenarates and get their asses in boot camp now! they want to kill? Well, let them go to a real war that our troops are dying for.

Gangs are one of the reasons I don't work with the regular construction crew any more. Work was enough of a hassle before I had to deal with gang members flashing their signs and guns at each other. Something bad is going to go down and I don't want to be anywhere near it when it does.

Have the community provide free shooting lessons. The only problem with gang shootings is they miss who they are aiming at and hit innocent people.

We had that problem in one part of town (it probably still exists but is nowhere near as violent) The neighborhoods set up what they call "neighborhood watch areas." Often violence escalates because nobody wants to get involved, nobody calls to complain, so nothing is done. These areas hold meetings to inform and support the good people. They are not afraid to report anything and everything suspicious, they watch each other's properties. The city made street signs for these neighborhoods warning that all violence would be reported and punishment would follow. I believe homeowners there also received a tax break or low interest loan to fix up their homes to make the neighborhood less attractive to the scum. Two major churches in those neighborhoods also got involved. We had a few really bad years, it has improved tremendously.

this is the perfect scenario for the military, angel. these illegals have INVADED america/ur town. the nerve of them terrorizing u and ur community. bigger nerve that ur officials haven't done diddely. they should be outraged! and screw anyone yelling those thugs arent illegals, but "undocumented" (illegal is illegal).
sbob and pete are right. until politicians get around to kissing azz, take pot shots at the biznitches. they don't belong here, and they are thieves, murderers, etc. u have every right to defend urself when someone is threatening ur life and property. they need to be pushed back where they came from -- not housed at ur expense. ppl have lost their minds with this building spree of prisons. NOW we must house and feed people who arent even illegals who double as violent criminals?
only in america can u invite urself in the natives' neighborhood and make urself at home.  i dont think ur local law enforcement will have any idea about how to handle those ruffians. i hope i'm wrong.

Legalize drugs and you will eliminate much of the glamour associated with gang banging.......as long as there are incentives, it wont go away.

We had all the scuzz bags in this neighborhood a few years ago. Drug dealers, bomb builders, prostitutes, strippers, apprently one night 4 black men in trench coats even decided to stand in the middle of the intersection and threaten any car of person who came down the street. This was while I was out of the country. When I got back, one neighbor how knew me said, "We now she's back, she can deal with it." Well hell yes I did, and they are all gone. Keep in mind that I am a single parent and don't own a gun or anything like that. My point is, what was the BS about turning it over to me all of a sudden instead of still doing the right thing? And what is up with the lady down the street who said, "Oh, I don't call the police. I don't want to bother them." WTF As long as there are sheep, the wolves will terrorize.

It is interesting how this administration has exclaimed in a loud roar how they are defending the country from terroeists by being in the middle east. The real terrorists are, as has been noted above,a gang that started in Los Angeles named the MS-13. Coincidently, there was a television special, actually an expose', concerning this particular group of terrorists on last evening. They are a much bigger threat then the middle east is or can seriously be expected to be, as they are have already set up operations in something like thirty three states and six countries, according to the special. They are at least as violent as any middle east gang. Much better organized. Plus they are recruiting grammar school age children from our own schools.
As fas as a marine division to clean up the problem as PL advised above, I am afraid that the problem is much deeper entrenched than any such simplistic solution can even hope to resolve on even the best of days.
One other thing that is very interesting to note. This gang's rise to power dove tails very neatly with the San Jose Mercury's news story written in the in the mid nineteen eighties. This story exsposed an alleged C.I.A. involvement of drug activity in Los Angeles. It claimed that the C.I.A. was bringing in Crack Cocain from Central or South America to help fund rightest groups to help over throw leftest govenments. Apparently, this may be the group they supported. It would be interesting to see if a follow up story would support this idea.

Yes, MS13 is the largest and fastest growing gang in the U.S.; unbelievable violent, well organized, and spreading. It's already firmly entrenched in Latin America, from where it sprang. This gang is so dangerous some South American countries have had to mobilize their armed forces; the police just couldn't cope.
Our local governments are simply overwhelmed, so the federal government needs to step in and crack down on all fronts -- immigration, law enforcement, education.
Unfortunately, I have this sinking feeling things will have to reach crisis proportions before anything's done.

Just another example of why it boggles my mind the way our so-called reps are up on soap boxes all the time to assist everyone overseas. Whatever happened to clean up your own backyard first? I honestly believe that it is up to individuals to show a solid front against it instead of always EXPECTING the authorities to get right over there and handle it for them. In a lot of cases, they couldn't even get there in time anyway. While you hide in your house proclaiming how horrible it all is, you aren't doing anything about it.

lj450 that would be my thought if it was the guy on the corner selling his rocks. But these gangs well they something new and I don't think legalizeing drugs would make any difference. These MS-13 people seem more like an invadeing army like lecriveuse says. Unless you lock down the border and start rounding these dudes up and sending them home I really don't know what you could do.

Since the SuperBowl turned out to be such a let down, let's just lock all these gangs, and I mean ALL of them, in the stadium, and let them go at it. Say til there is only one left. Should cut down on their deportation costs.
