Take a minute and read the info about "scammers" Report them when they contact you asking for money! Take a minute and really read those profiles, if they are saying they are from the US, do they speak English as their primary language? Are you looking at a gorgeous womans pic, and the Ht & wt and race they list aren't correct? Sadly most of them are men pretending to be women! If you are emailing with them, ask questions in each email and see if they answer them! There is a site that seems to be popular with scammers from the African continent called Focus Hawaii International, look them up and see how many you recognise! The folks here can't do it all by themselves, so take a minute and report them when you find them! Let's make this the best place we can!

Personally, I wish the staff would remove contacts that are agencies. I've recieved many emails from women who immediately want me to join their agency to continue correspondence. I guess some guys fall for it or it would not be so wide spread.
It would not be that hard to do as the agencies must use their address for forwarding from match doctor..
My only other complaint is we are not allowed to block specific countries from our email. At the very least this should be a benefit of gold membership.

Hooks, I couldn't agree with you more. However, Matchdoctor has also got to play its part. What I've found myself is that, the more you use the site ie browsing, searching or whatever, you become almost attuned to spotting things that are let's say 'just not quite right'. I actually came across a photo set that to me, being a Brit, was so obviously identifiable as being those of a minor 'Z' list UK celebrity (hope she doesn't read this!!!) that I had to report them as profile abuse. But 3 weeks later the profile was still active and carrying the same photos, so obviously reporting it made no difference. Of course, the celebrity could have made the profile post herself but I wouldn't have thought this the case.

You can filter foreign users from sending you email as a Gold Member...
One tell-tale sign is the profile with a single picture of a model, and every word is misspelled along with lower case use of everything.
If you just look at the profile, look at the descriptions it's not that hard to see the fakes. If it looks too good to be true, it probably isn't true.

Hey Hooks, guess what, we girls get that garbage too, and yeah, I used the settings to filter them all out.

Hey Hooks, I am so glad someone decided to write about this scam crap. I have gotten 11 men and 2 women from that site. I did report it to that Agency. That's why the have posted stated the scam. Sadly to say I was caught up in NIgerian fraud till the FBI told me what was going on. It was a fine mess and lost my bank account due to it.I studied all the pictures from that site so I know and not only that the writing. I know how they write. It is a true shame.
