But I had to ask. What do you do on a daily basis that is productive? I dont mean to ones self but productive in a way that will benefit others as well as ones self. Do you do anything that is deemed productive, considerate, nice, helping, contributing, honorable, or peace loving? This is something that has bothered me as I watch the salt and vinegar spew from forum to forum. I look on as some find insensitivity a pleasure while salivating the detriment of another's bliss. Then there are those who ride the fence looking for the latest wind and from whom it is traveling in leiu of maintaining popularity. Fearing malice, retribution and verbal assault from the most vulgar, obscene loud mouths. Let's not forget those that feeling life is all panseys and roses. Wearing rose colored glasses while perpetrating disasterous events aren't so bad. I was just wondering. Who are you? what are you? What do you stand for? Judging by previous threads the question should be who do you stand for?I welcome all of your comments. Less than divisive that is !

Sorry, on a daily basis I tend to be very selfish.
I make money for me.
Occasionally I donate money, time and computers, but the rest of the time it's all for me.

I think I do good things every day.
Lately, it is being there for my kids. Always a mother!
Any wisdom I can give them to help with the things going on in their lives. If I am asked for help, I try my best.

One of my jobs, though I do get a paycheck from it....allows me to be very self-less. I enjoy it immensely. I do it on a daily basis. 7 days a week, it can be grueling at times, and very time consuming but fulfilling nonetheless. I enjoy helping others.

I dont have to ask those things about myself. I can look in the eyes of children and women throughout five different states and see my contributions on a daily basis. At the present moment my interest lie on the completion of two Ywmca's for which I am the primary sponsor.

 And this is why I refuse to say any more then what I have..the insensitivity and selfish behavior of others.

At first I was going to say TO MANY QUESTIONS but my pancakes arent done yet so here goes.

I fix,build,install and repair things for those that cannot.
I keep the church sidewalks and entries free of snow.

Jan your nobility is to be congradulated but I think the message is getting lost. I think the message was to inspire others to uplift instead of tearing down each other down. But I will add this. you are one of a very select few that I enjoy having a conversation with. There are so many that are unable to capture a notion of agreeing to disagree !

Right now, I work extremely long hours. I get paid for a portion of them. When not working, at this point I give all my time to my youngest son - THE most gorgeous nine year old on the planet, I might add.

Many days I come to these forums and read words written here by all. Sadly, I shake my head many times at the insensitivity toward others that I find here. Each person seeking their own thrills at the other's expense. I have rarely posted, but today felt the urge to do so. Not long ago, I heard someone speak on being kind, considerate and compassionate. Three words that seem lost on most these days-------You asked, Silver, what do we do that is deemed productive, considerate, nice, helping, contributing, honorable, or peace loving? Kindness goes a long way towards being productive. A smile, a friendly touch, a nice word speaks volumes to those who are in the middle of watching a loved one suffer with an illness or someone who has lost everything they have. Being considerate to other's needs and feelings embraces the one who lives with an abusive spouse or has other situations to deal with in this life.. Compassion gives hope for those who need a lift and need strength. I see children every day of my life who replicate their adult peers (and parents) by showing insensitivity and as you put it "salivating the detriment of another's bliss".
For me, being a good role model, taking a stand on what I believe is right or wrong, showing kindness, having consideration for others, and being compassionate is my way of being a productive example for all-----young and older----that I come in contact with everyday.
